Auto focussing problem with nikon d90
\015 I recently bought a D90 and it was working fine 2 dayz before and today while at a studio i was shooting the auto focussing stopped. Its just when I press the half button there is a movement at the lens but focussing seems jammed up.\302\240To me it looks like either the motor inside camera is too weak to rotate the lens or the len is too tight. I got a Nikkor 1.4 D 50mm.I m just wondering if there is a problem with the camera or lens & I got only this lens at this moment.\302\240What do u think Sir\011\015
This is most likely a problem with the lens. Do you have the switch on the side of the lens at 'A'? Are you able to focus manually?\015\012It is a common fault that can occur if the lens has receive a knock or the camera has been dropped. Also, grit or sand in the lens mechanism could cause this.\015\012It is recommended that you send this camera to a qualified service centre.

I have new Nikon D90 with 18-105 Nikon lens. The only problem with the camera, when shooting potraits in dim light without flash, the pictures get black artefacts throughout the faces and skins. I used different lenses and reset the camera setting to the factory original, but no help. Thank you for solving the problem... Hamid Jakarta, Indonesia
This has nothing to do with the camera, but instead it has to do with the lens you are using. The standard lens you are using has an aperture of f/4.5 which is common across many lenses. If you wish to shoot in low light you need a lower "f-stop". ... Nikon D90 Digital Camera with 18-105mm lens
Purchased the D90 with 18-105 kit lens yesterday. Took it home started playing with it and after abt 5 clicks err came up on the screen. Have the Nikon D90 camera and it does not allow me to take pictures when ever I want. It is in full auto mode and just does not want to take the picture even in bright day light. The F keeps on blinking in full auto mode and even if I switch to manual mode it does not allow me to change settings. It is very frustrating! what is wrong with this D90??
The blinking F-- means that the camera doesn't think a lens is attached. You can try removing the lens and re-attaching it. Or if you have another lens, try that. There are quite a few reports of this issue with the 18-135 kit lens. ... Nikon D90 Digital Camera with 18-200mm lens

Autofocus problem I dont really know how to explain my problem.. I got a Nikon D40 for Christmas last year and last week we went on vacation. The camera was working fine. but suddenly the camera wouldn't auto focus. Everything is set on auto.. I only have the lens that came with the camera. The battery is charged.. it doesnt even make a noise like its trying to focus. the wiewfinder bracket thingy lights up red but nothing after that. I am new to photography so I know I probably sound like

Hi, I've just recieved my nikon d90 back from a repair and service, and although everything appears to be working fine, whenever I want to change shooting modes,( auto, P, M, flash off etc), they only work once I have selected them, and then turned the camera off and back on. In other words I cannot be shooting in the Auto mode and then switch to "flash off auto"....all that happens is that the auto focus works but the shutter will not operate. If I switch the camera off and on however, I can t

I'm having a couple problems with my Nikon D90 and for the life of me that manual is too confusing, The first problem I'm having is.... I imagine your son's wrestling events are held in school gyms with lighting that is less than ideal. If you are taking pictures without a flash then the blurriness you describe could well be due to a slow shutter speed. Your camera is using a slowe ... Nikon D90 Digital Camera with 18-105mm lens

Whenever I try to take a picture using "auto focus" option with my Nikon D40, (using the standard lens that came w/the camera), it makes a clicking sound and will not auto focus. But if I use it in manual mode it does not click. What could be the problem?
This camera focuses the lens by sending an electronic signal to it. If you hear a clicking sound, the lens is receiving the signal, but not responding. I suggest you take the camera & lens to a local photo store & ask if they could let you mount anot ... Nikon D40x Digital Camera

I was using my Nikon D40 at son's baseball game with the 55-200 mm lens & was too close to the fence when zooming since it tapped the fence. Now it makes a squeaky noise when trying to auto focus. It will not take a pic on auto focus but will focus and if I flip the A / M switch on the lens itself over to M it will take a pic.It will take pics fine with the 18 - 55 mm lens. It's nota problem with the Zoom, but with the autofocus. When it attempts to autofocus, it goes thru the extremes of the le
