Having problems with your Nikon D50 Digital Camera with 18-55mm Lens ?

Nikon D50 I have been reading through Fixya to try and find a similar problem. I have a Nikon D50 and have been using it with no problems for over a year. However, now when I try to take photos in AF, nothing happens. It locks up. So, I have to try to take photos in manual. Some come out OK and others not. Very frustrating as I missed lots of xmas pics. When I hit the AF-L button, it seems to work in AF mode. Any suggestions?? [email protected]

I have had a nikon D60 for the last 3 years.I normally use the auto setting and for the first 2 years it took beautiful photos almost every time. in the last year or so when i try to take a photo it often displays iso auto r 09 in the bottom right hand corner and won't take the photo and this doesn't appear to depend on lighting. Is there something i can do differently? Should i take the camera for a service? Thanks

I have a Nikon D80. Whilst at Yosemite National Park a few weeks ago, where it was extremely cold I noticed that my camera would not take photo. After a few tries, it started working fine again. However, yesterday the shutter started sticking, and the ERR message showed on the screen. Then I can take one photo, and same thing happens again. Missing shots I have a Coolpix L18/L16 Nikon and I am missing all of my pictures. I take them but by the time the shot goes through the picture is lost. It continually results in pictures where my daughter's eyes are closed. What can I do? I am guessing that some setting is off which makes it take too long to snap the photo.

I have a Nikon D40 which is coming upto being two years old. Recently I have noticed that the auto-focus will not work. If I manually focus I can still take photos but when auto is engaged it will not even try to focus and therefore will not allow me to take a photo. I have not made any changes to the settings and therefore I am concerned it is a hardware fault. Lens Error I purchased a Nikon P90 a month ago; and it was working just fine. A couple of days ago during a photo shoot (after taking 190+ photos without any trouble), the camera went crazy.. It shows a lens error when turned on; asks to 'remove the lens cap' even if it is already removed. The lens starts to zoom out & in for a couple of times; then this error message comes up and just hangs. Tried removing the card, battery and even tried re-charging the cell. Why does the FinePix E510 pictures download from the camera at 72 dpi when the camera was set to take 500 megapixel photos? I cannot find any way to adjust this in the finepix manual or in online help. I was helping someone download pics from his new camera and tried both Adobe Photoshop album starter and the finepix software. But when i open a photo in Photoshop, it says the photo size is 72 DPI. (My nikon doesn't do this when downloaded.)
