Nikon d50 monitor does not work during photo shooting, must use view finder

Answers :

This is completely normal. The monitor is used for setting menu items, displaying shooting info, and reviewing images. Like SLR have functioned for over fifty years, you take pictures by composing and framing through the viewfinder. Only the most recent dSLRs have the Live View capability which allows you to use the monitor like a point&shoot camera.

Hi.my daughter's Panasonic DMC-FZ7 has gone dark through the view-finder, and all the photos and videos that she tries to shoot are likewise totally black. While photographing yesterday, she paused to gently clean the lens. All photos since then have been black. The camera records taking a photo but shows a black screen on play-back.Changing to a fresh battery makes no difference, neither does using a flash. Can you give any guidance about what is likely to be the problem, and what we should do

Viewfinder I just got my *ist DS Monday, and this is my first DSLR. I have a general question, which I hope you guys can help me with. The image framing from the viewfinder is significantly different from the finished photo. The finished product always has a wider angle of view from what I am seeing while framing the shot. At the widest setting, there isn't much difference. At full zoom with an attached Nikon 6t, the object I am shooting is large in the view finder, but it appears half sized

If we take a picture using the view finder and then check for the image, nothing is displayed. We just checked the memory card, and it doesn't even take a photo. All we got was black.
