There are several possibilities. 1) The camera store screwed up, and your photos are just fine. Have you looked at the photo files on your computer? 2) You accidentally set the camera into manual mode and with settings th ... Nikon Coolpix S1 Digital Camera

Hi, I have a Canon 20D and a Sppedlite 550EX (I use for almost every shot). My problem is that 80-90% of my photos always return back from the printers too dark. I know this sounds like a printing issue, however I have tried 4 different printers and still have the same problem. I have tried up'ing my exposure both on my camera and flash, but this just overexposes parts of the photo too much. My histogram also looks relatively correct on these shots. I appreciate that photos will be taken too dar

Your exposure maybe off. Unless you are trying to suggest that the LCD displays pictures taken with a flash differently than those taken without one!On an LCD, underexposed picture will still look "ok" but, the Histogram tells the tale. I ... Digital Cameras

I have a Canon EOS 40D camera. We are having problems with using an external flash. The pictures always come out extremely dark with the external flash. The flash seems to work fine, it flashes brightly. The pictures look fine using the built in flash. The flash is a Promaster but we tried a Canon flash and it did the same thing. The camera store we bought the camera and the flash from says it looks like a synchronization issue and that it is a hardware problem with the boot. Their sugges

Nikon CoolPix S500 shows colored lines on lcd and in photos where the lights are bright. I have restored settings tried using it with no flash, soft flash, and auto flash and the problem continues. Noticed the lines on the lcd over a year ago and it has progressed to brightly lit photos also now. In some photos lighter colors also show up with the lines. ie. My daughters blonde hair in the light looks almost transparent with all the lines running through it. Is this a lens problem? Is there

I have a Kodak Easyshare model dx5430 digital camera (5mp). It has worked like a champ for years. Last night I was at an event when the image display went dark at picture 31. All preceding photos were able to be reviewed. The camera flash works fine. The camera displays all the other characteristics of a working unit. It turns on and off; the flash works, the menu is accessible - everything. It just doesn't register any photos. Even in close-up mode, there is nothing. It's as if the lens cap is

Black photos When I turn on my camera (Nikon Coolpix S5, I believe), I can access old photos and see the symbols that are usually on the screen when it used to take photos. However, if I take a photo with it, it is just black. The camera flashes and acts like it has taken a photo. There is no lens cap, so that is not the problem. Is the camera simply broken?

Hi.my daughter's Panasonic DMC-FZ7 has gone dark through the view-finder, and all the photos and videos that she tries to shoot are likewise totally black. While photographing yesterday, she paused to gently clean the lens. All photos since then have been black. The camera records taking a photo but shows a black screen on play-back.Changing to a fresh battery makes no difference, neither does using a flash. Can you give any guidance about what is likely to be the problem, and what we should do

We are an orthodontic office using the Nikon D7000 to take facial and intra-oral photos. We are noticing that the intra-oral shots taken from 1-2 feet away have spots over the photo that look like freckles. I just purchased the Tamron 18-270 lens. When I take photos with the flash on, I get like a dark half-circle shadow either at the bottom or to the side of the photos. What could be causing this?

This is a mind bender, While doing a shoot using monolights connected to a Nikon D1x I encountered exposure problems. After the lights were metered for the best exposure, I started shooting. The first ten or so shots were fine, and all of a sudden the next ten shots looked like they were 8 stops over, and then it went to looking ok. The first thing I did was switch monolights thinking there was a problem with the flash, this did not resolve the issue. Next I switched camera bodies, still the int

I have a nikon d200. The last time I used it (only a few days ago) it was fine, everything normal. Then yesterday I pull out out of the case and everything seems to be going wrong. It is metering INSANELY low, like a shutter speed of 100 in full daylight produces a REALLY dark image. It won't auto focus at all, and i am unable to change the fstop in manual or aperture priority modes. I tried to restore it to factory settings and the lcd screen flashed to indicate it had been restored but no luck
