I have a rebel xt 350D , using 75-300mm 5.6f lens to do some girls basketball photography inside a gym. Had camera set on: ISO 1600, M mode, 5.6f, 200 shutter speed (that seem to set automatically), used built in flash, Exposure level was in the middle of the chart, auto focus, al servo, continuous shooting, used awb. Got pretty good freeze action shots, with little or no blurring but the photos were dark. Some I could make lighter with photoshop but lost some detail and the contrast was too muc
Unless you were up close and personal, the built-in flash was your problem. Anything past about 15 feet and your picture will be dark. You would have been better off turning the flash off and using available light. Once the flash is off, you can set ... Digital Cameras
Shutter problem When i use the manual mode on my D50, the shutter speed won't go above 30 without the camera going to 'Bulb' - the open shutter mode, no mattter what i try. Can't figure out if the settings are responsible and there really is'nt anything in th manual. Hope it isn't broke.
30 seconds is the maximum setting for the D50. Anything greater than this you can easily time with a watch using the 'bulb' setting. \015\012Most SLR's are like this. ... Nikon D50 Digital Camera
My camera is brand new, got it just last week. I tried using the S mode on the mode dial and tried shooting with the fastest shutter speed, but all pictures turned out to be blank/black. The same happened for the P, A and M mode. May I know if it's a problem with my settings or the camera?
Photographing is matching the shutter speed and aperture to the ambient lighting conditions to create the effect you want. 'Auto'- and 'P'-mode should match those automatically. 'S' will choose the aperture and 'A' the shutter speed according to the ... Nikon D5000 Digital Camera
Hi i am using a Nikon N75 to take pictures for my photo class, and the instructor wants us to take low light indoor phtotos at a shutter speed of 1/30 at f2.2. However, when i go to set these settings in manual mode the camera will not let me set my aperture to 2.2 it usually stops at 4 and there is no way i can make it 2.2. i didn't know if there is a limitation on the camera but it seems like i should be able to select what i want.
It's probably a limitation of your lens. You didn't say what lens you're using, but one of the common kit lenses sold with the N75 only goes to f/3.3 at best. If you had a lens that opens up more, the camera will let you use it.The differ ... Nikon Digital Cameras

Using my Canon XSi/450D, I'm interested in doing High Dynamic Range photography. But I can't discover how to make the automated shutter-speed range multi-shot (3 for the 450D) AEB work. I've gone into the menu and select and change the AEB range ( -2V) and pressed "set." Working from the "AV" in creative mode, I then set up my first shot with focus and ISO, and shoot. Now what? When I press the shoot button, an ordinary photo is captured, and if I continue to press the button additional cap

Blurry pictures Using a point and shoot digital camera, it was set on night mode by mistake. Pictures turned out blurry. The snapshots were taken inside at night using flash in the camera. Probably because in night mode, camera was setting depth of field wrong. So using flash and set in night mode was the problem. But can anything be done to correct the blurry pictures taken in this situation?? Any software known to correct this problem? Thank's, Angela Sapp

Lcd/viewfinder THe LCD screen looks as if there is a shutter, for lack of a better description, nearly closed. Only a sliver of view is available. It appears that way with both the picture taking and playback mode. The eyepiece looks different than normal, but at least can be used. Photos come out just fine. The same thing happened last week, and then all of a sudden it was OK. Did I mistakenly change a setting? Any suggestions? Thank you!

Got our Lumix DMC-FZ5 in 2006, and every picture we have ever taken inside is blurred, no matter what we do with shutter speed, aperature setting and flash. Also tried using the Party scene, as well as the Simple mode. Outdoor shots (in good light) are great.

On the Canon G3 I have issues with the main dial on the handgrip (used for aperture shutter speed and manual focus) while in Manual mode. it will change settings only some of the time! is this usually due to dust in the area and can it be cleaned or otherwise made operational?

No. If you use any of the modes, the shutter speed and aperature are controlled by the camera. It does set them up to have higher shutter speeds in the sports mode, though. \015\012\015\012If you're having problems with getting the shu ... Digital Cameras

I have a nikon d200. The last time I used it (only a few days ago) it was fine, everything normal. Then yesterday I pull out out of the case and everything seems to be going wrong. It is metering INSANELY low, like a shutter speed of 100 in full daylight produces a REALLY dark image. It won't auto focus at all, and i am unable to change the fstop in manual or aperture priority modes. I tried to restore it to factory settings and the lcd screen flashed to indicate it had been restored but no luck

Shutter speed on the auto mode of my s1000 camera seems slow. how can it be increased in the auto mode? This is a Fuji camera and by the time I press the shutter button subjects have moved. I have set the camera back to the original factory settings and I can adjust the shutter speed in the manual position but in auto it seems really slow.

External Flash I set my Epson 3100z camera to manual mode and set up the camera for external flash. I manually set the shutter speed to 1/60 sec and the aperture to F4. I also set my SunPak flash to F4. My exposures seem pretty good. However when I review the various photo info's, the aperture reading is F5 or F4.8 not the F4 I set. Why is this? Anyone experienced this? The shutter speed are also not always what I set on the camera.

Nikon D80 with a Sigma Lens (80 to 200 I think). In manual mode, often shutter won't release - this was a close up of a hummingbird with a fast shutter speed. Internal light meter showed underexposed, but the background was dark green. Initially, the shutter released, but later would not operate either with a remote, or by manually depressed the shutter release button. Switching back to auto, the camera seemed to work fine, but in this mode could not get the desired shutter speed. In full manual
