Having problems with your Nikon D60 Digital Camera ?

Everytime I try to zoom in the picture just gets blurrier and blurrier. I've cleaned the lense. I even tried switching lenses. It was fine for the other lense...I tried switching all settings. I didn't drop it or anything..HELP!

Answers :

It would be useful to know which lens you are using. Have you tried aiming the AF area to a contrasty spot? If you aim at something which is not contrasty enough the AF cannot focus. It can also happen if it is too dark.
\015\012I would also try the lens on another body. A friend or the nearest shop may help there.

I don't know if the images are being taken or if they aren't. I tried taking of the lense and pressing the shutter and a black box with a **** of light shows. With the lense on nothing but black shows. Is this issue with the lense or body? Any feedback is appreciated.

Lense error- can hear lense trying to open, but lense does not come out of the camera body. This is weird because the camera was not dropped/hit/damaged. I used the camera to take night images of a rising moon. It took pics fine, but about an hour later when I tried to turn the camera on to review the pics, I got the lense error as noted above. 4 days later, same problem. The manual doesn't have any troubleshooting for this problem. Any suggestions? Anyone.....? Thanks for your time!

My D70 (which I just bought on ebay) is having problems with AF. At time the AF works fine but then for no reason it refuses to work for hours to days. I have two bodies so I can swap lenses to see that its not the lens. If I switch to manual focus, it the camera works fine. I can see the little pins around the lens fitting retract when I switch the camera to manual. Seems like a problem with the internals that control AF. No other problems are apparent to me. Any suggestions?
