Canon Powershot A610 digital camera--LCD screen shows icons, but otherwise is blank--there is no visible movement in the lens when I take a picture without flash--have tried setting it on TV setting and taking a picture, then opening the battery cover for a few seconds after waiting 7 seconds or so, but no images on the LCD except the camera's icons--ideas? probably a stuck shutter, or is it still possibly the CCD sensor even though there's no visible movement in the lens? Ideas? Thanks!

Much more likely that it's a stuck shutter, especially for your model camera. How many tries did you give the fix? Some people stated that it took at least 15 repeated tries before the shutter opened:\015\012\015\012\015\012 ... Canon PowerShot A610 Digital Camera

We just purchased a Nikon Coolpix L110 digital camera. We completed the start up process and attempted to take a few test photos. we took two photos with flash and on the second photos, a loud noise was heard when the flash operated. We could never get the flash to operate again. We have read through the troubleshooting guide supplied with the camera and changed batteries and settings. No luck. Any assistance would be appreciated!

I have just recently boughta Nikon D60 and currently own a Tamron 28-300 lens and a 90 macro lens. I think that I want to buy a strob after a workshop I went to this past weekend. I want to be able to hold the flash off the camera and use it to high light some macro shots. I don't know whether to but the Nikon SB 600 or spent the $100 difference and buy the SB 800? Or am I bitting off more then I can chew at this stage of the game and getting into equipment that will be complex and frustrati

The SB-600 will probably do everything you want. One caution: To use flash off your D60 you're going to need either an external sync cord or a wireless controller. The SB-800 (and the current SB-900) can be used as a controller, the SB-600 ... Nikon Digital Cameras

I have new Nikon D90 with 18-105 Nikon lens. The only problem with the camera, when shooting potraits in dim light without flash, the pictures get black artefacts throughout the faces and skins. I used different lenses and reset the camera setting to the factory original, but no help. Thank you for solving the problem... Hamid Jakarta, Indonesia

This has nothing to do with the camera, but instead it has to do with the lens you are using. The standard lens you are using has an aperture of f/4.5 which is common across many lenses. If you wish to shoot in low light you need a lower "f-stop". ... Nikon D90 Digital Camera with 18-105mm lens
