My Nikon D50 is giving me a message: CHR. I assumed that was that the battery needing charging... but it has not fixed the problem. I have confirmed that the problem is not the battery nor the charger. suggestions?

I have a Nikon D70 camera. I'm using a Lexar 2GB card inside. Problem focuses on the card. Previous to this moment, card has worked fine. Today, shot photos and when I hooked up the camera to download the pics, got an error in the viewfinder (CHR). Looked at the manual, and it said problem was with the card. I removed the card, and placed it in a card reader. It worked fine and I was able to transfer the photos. Replaced the card, and still get the same error. I've already re-formatted the card,

First, memory cards don't last forever, so it may be time for a new card. Make sure you check the pins in your camera and the contacts in your card for dust/dirt. I'd guess you already looked at this, though. \015\012\015\012I've had s ... Nikon D70 Body Only Digital Camera

I have a Nikon D70, have had it for years. I'm leaving on a trip tomorrow and when I deleted the images from the memory card I get a "CHR" message, but when I format the card, nothing happens and when I put a different card in I get the same result. One card is a San Disk 512 and the other is a Lexor 1 gig - I used them both multiple times and never had a problem.

Tokina AT-X PRO 28-80mm 1:2.8 lens has recently developed a problem when mounted on my Nikon D200. The images are way too dark and my only way to obtain usable images is to bracket heavily. This lens has worked flawlessly on film Nikons and, until recently, worked flawlessly on the D200. I am now also having AF problems with the lens. When I attach any of my Nikon brand lenses - no problems. Can you help? I really love this lens.

I have this lens also but with a canon mount and loved it to death when i had film. I started to use it on the digital and like your experience it worked well for a while then started to produce faulty registered photos.. too dark and some too light. ... Digital Cameras

I have continuously had battery problems with my Nikon CoolPix L18; after shipping back to Nikon I was informed that there was not a problem. I have since purchased another L18 for my Mom thinking that it could not be a manufacturer problem - however, now we have two cameras that will not hold a battery charge for more than a few pics - literally I had less than an hour of pics on my camera. My Mom & I, are both unhappy with our cameras - any suggestions of the recommended batteries to use for t

Appreciation CanadaBruce I was browsing the website since I have a Nikon D80. Considering the fact that Nikon sells this as an amateur camera (meaning not a cheap solution), I suspect their Q&A and test wings are probably getting a lot of flak internally for the problems its users experience intermittently. Besides the F-err with 18-135 lens, I have not experienced other problems yet. I hope and pray to whatever powers there be it stays that way. One way I have tried to get around this problem i

SAME PROBLEM I didn't drop S60 or hit anything. When turn on the power, a motor vibration noise will be heard. Turn it off and turn it on again may get it work luckily. The repair center said the belt is not on the motor gear and asked $100 repair charge even it is still in warranty. Seems Nikon S60 has potential quality problem here. There is anyone has same problem here? We may collect such information to claim Nikon to get our right!

Hi Guys, I am hoping that someone can offer some explaination for the following. I bought a Nikon D7000 in November and it has suddenly started displaying 3 small doughnut shaped marks on my images. I have not removed my Nikon 16-85 lens from the body so I would not have thought that sensor dust was the problem. To eliminate that the problem is on the lens I have now swapped the lens with my telephoto and the problem is still there! I have just sent an email to the company that I purchased from

I have a Nikon Coolpix L110. When I take pictures, they often look yellow. I can get the color to correct by focusing on a nearby area, but when I return to the shot I want to take, the color almost always goes back to a yellowish cast. I bought this camera because I was having the same problem with my last Nikon. I thought it was the camera. Now I'm thinking the problem is with the manufacturer.

I one of the nikon users(D5000), i want to change to D7000, but i've heard from the camera dealer said, there's a several complaints about Nikon D7000(release shutter) from the other users. I own a D70, D80 and recently purchased a D7000. I have under 1K on the shutter, and have had no issues. The D7000 had some issues with some stuck green and red pixels, but this was solved shortly afterwards (was the cause for the D7000 being back ... Nikon D7000 Digital Camera

Incorrect metering I have a Nikon D40x. About every 100 or so frames that i take, there is a problem with the Nikon Metering system. It incorrectly chooses the Aperture and Shutter Speed. Outdoors, it sometimes overexposes pictures. Indoors, it makes them very dark or black. Should i take this in to get it fixed? I have extended warranty...Alas, this is an intermittent problem. Thoughts?

Nikon D50 I have been reading through Fixya to try and find a similar problem. I have a Nikon D50 and have been using it with no problems for over a year. However, now when I try to take photos in AF, nothing happens. It locks up. So, I have to try to take photos in manual. Some come out OK and others not. Very frustrating as I missed lots of xmas pics. When I hit the AF-L button, it seems to work in AF mode. Any suggestions?? [email protected]

NIKON D70 I have a Nikon D70 Whilst taking a series of photographs I get through to about 40 images then the camera stops shooting and the format card display comes up on the display. This has nothing to do with the camera, but instead it has to do with the lens you are using. The standard lens you are using has an aperture of f/4.5 which is common across many lenses. If you wish to shoot in low light you need a lower "f-stop". ... Nikon D90 Digital Camera with 18-105mm lens

Have Nikon Coolpix 885 dig. camera, bought in 2000, still works OK. I had been transferring the photos to my old computer using "Nikon View" 5 version 5.0.0 software that came with the camera and my Windows XP operating system with no problems.
