"CHA" message - will not take picture

\015 I have fully charged my battery for my D70S, however, i keep getting a "CHA" message on the LCD display (where it usually displays the # of pictures left.) I keep charging the battery, but keep getting this message, even on a fully charged battery.What is the problem? Is my battery just dead (meaning it needs to be replaced)?Thanks\015
