Having problems with your Nikon D70s Digital Camera ?
Nikon D70 my d70 has a CHA sym and will not take pictures
I get the same problem from time to time-generally fixed by removing and reinstalling the CompactFlash Memory Card. I think it is apin problem-I did note a Company, Lezot photo www.lezot.com says it will repair/change the pin connector for $125. This would probably solve the problem.
I have the same problem....after searching some say get new card (I did) some say reformat (I have), some say clean pins (I would try this but don't know how) SO if you get any answers I would appreciate it. The only temporary solution that I have found is to Re-format (thus losing pics) or to simply pull the card out and put back in.

I eventually bought a new battery and still the word "CHG" or "Charge" shows up on the screen and doesn't allow me to take any pictures. Would you happen to

Crash I greatly enjoyed the D70 until it suddenly stopped taking pictures. I got the dreaded ERR message. WE tried different batteries, lenses, cards, etc., but to no avail. This is a real bummer. I have used Nikons for 30 years. Currently, my F100 is also at Nikon. The back latch catches simply cracked and fell off! Plastic.A couple of years ago, the self-timer stopped working and Nikon had to replace the software circuits. (The warranty had run out.)
The D70 has a reset button at the bottom of the camera. Firts of all, I think you have checked you have the correct lens inserted (at least D mount) and well done, checked your memory card is correctly inserted, and if you have another, change it.Che ... Nikon D70 Digital Camera with 18-50mm Lens

My 6 month-old Nikon D90 has been acting-up for quite some time. I take ALL my pictures at LARGE size, as they may end up in competitions or exhibition. However, without warning, the size changes occasionally to SMALL or MEDIUM, often twice, or more, in the one day. I only discover this when I notice the number of frames left has doubled or more. I had the same problem with my previous camera, a D70, which I eventually gave away to a friend.
Nikon have gone rubbish. Their 'support' people are very unlikely to respond, or be of any help, or care. My five month old D90 has gone wrong and they want to charge me more than the cost - I suspect - of its manufacture, to put it right. You g ... Nikon D90 Digital Camera with 18-105mm lens
