Having problems with your Nikon D70s Digital Camera ?

Disk not formatted!

\015 I am a photographer and I have been shooting with a Nikon D70 for the past few years. Today I was shooting some photos for a musician. I did the first half of the photos on a compact flash card... during a clothing change I downloaded the photos to my computer. The files uploaded and I then formatted the card in my camera. I shot the next half of the shoot on the same card. The last 2 shots said that there was no image file and that I needed to change the card. I took the card out and attempted to download them to the computer.. when I inserted the compact flash it told me that the disk in drive H has not been formatted and that I must format it to use it. I can not view the photos on the computer but I can still see them when I put the card back in the camera. When I put that card in the camera and take a photo with it, it tells me that I can not use that card. I just need a way to get those photos off of that card. Help!!\015

HI sHOOTITd70!

I have the same theory with solution 1. I have experienced this problem with my DSCw35 digicam. The computer does not acknowledge the card when it is placed to a memory reader. Try to chehk your cables between the reader and your computer. If it is built in to your computer you need to clean the metal receptors using eraser. or your USB cable must be replaced with another new and functional one. You may do the direct copying of your photo from the camera directly to your computer.

Disk formatting is the last recourse if you have tried all but not advisable if you can still make other way to solve it.

always,

Hi!,

the file system on the card is corrupt.
it means that it has not been formatted properly or has reached the end of its life. don't worry. if u have a data cable of ur camera then connect it to pc using the cable and then try to copy the photos.
it should work. secondly if that dosn't work then reply me. ill tell u another way. just don't try to click more pictures on the same card.
