Having problems with your Nikon D80 Body Only Digital Camera ?

Dear Camera expert, I bought a brand new Nikon dslr D80 a few weeks ago. From day one I tried to know the Camera, I found problem when I go to cameras "custom setting menu" at rear screen. It displays No memory card? Lock. Whereas there is always a memory card. No. of shots are erratic: Some times there is one shot and no shot further and No memory card display remains on rear screen. Sometimes I am able to take more shots but problen of No memory card display remains Regards, Ja

Hi,

I know this is really irritating display and this is a common problem with canon and nikon camera's.Turning off this little annoying feature can be easy or challenging, depending on which camera system you are using.

For Nikon users, it’s a little bit harder to find the setting. First, open the menu and the scroll to the Custom Settings menu (it is the one that has the pencil icon). Then scroll to F menu labeled Controls. Then choose the No memory card? setting. Then select LOCK Release locked and press the OK button. This will keep the camera from firing without a memory card.
\015\012I\015\012know this sounds like a silly little thing but there is no worse\015\012feeling than discovering that you wasted a day of shooting and came\015\012home with nothing. Much like my friend that returned from a shoot and\015\012asked me how to turn off that stupid function. It seems as though she\015\012had spent the day shooting without her card.

Any further help, let me know.

Memory Card I just got my new Canon Power Shot G9. The user guide pictures a different memory card then what came with the camera. I won a Canon PowerPoint S3 IS at an eBay auction; it was in the working camera listings. It turned out that in the finer detail, the owner said that everything worked except for the "Memory Card Error" found in the display window. I posted this a few days ago. Olympus D-435 Our camera has been working fine until last week when we started getting this error message - memory full on a blue screen when we had taken only one photo (and deleted all previous photos). Thinking there was a problem with the memory card, we removed it and used only the camera's internal memory which worked for a short while - allowing us to take 12 shots - but now it will only let us take 1 shot before giving us the error message.
