A black spot keeps appearing in my photos nikon D80
It seems that there is some dust particle on the sensor. Try cleaning the sensor as per the instructions in the manual and then check. In case the spot still appears, then the CMOS sensor might be damaged / burned out and you will need to replace it.

You can't see it in the view finder and it shows up on all the pictures I take regardless of which lens I use. The mirror inside the camera does not have the black dot on it either. There's some dust spots in my pictures with my Nikon D80. I have sent it for sensor cleaning at Nikon centre but seems that the spots cannot be removed as the technician says it's hidden underneath/behind the sensor.
