Having problems with your Nikon D80 Digital Camera with 18-135mm Lens ?

I was at a basketball game last night and taking pictures with the d80 and the 55-200 lens. All of the pictures I took in auto focus were blurry. I changed it to the S mode with shutter speed at 4000 and those pictures came out completely dark with nothing in the picture. I changed the setting to the sports mode and the shutter speed is not fast enough because I have the same issue with blurring or out of focus.

\015\012I could go into a long disertation about your camera settings and what you should use, but I should let Ken explain it. I read this a couple of months ago (because I love photography too)! He has some good ideas, tips, tricks and really has the D80 dialed in. You can read it here.

Continuous shooting I'm new to this so bare with me. I just got my Nikon D60 and I want to shoot pictures in continuous mode. I set it on manual, go into the menu and change it to continuous. I rotate the dial so it changes the shutter speed but when I take pictures it's just a black screen. As a matter of fact any time I try to take a picture in M it's just black. I'm hoping that there is just a setting I need to change and there's not something wrong with my camera. Thanks.

Hey man. Im not sure how new you are but basically i think your problem is you need to decrease the shutter speed to around 1/200-1/250 of a second and increase the apeture to around f10/12 and see if that works. If your operating at a high shutter s ... Nikon D60 Digital Camera with 18-55mm lens

Using my Canon XSi/450D, I'm interested in doing High Dynamic Range photography. But I can't discover how to make the automated shutter-speed range multi-shot (3 for the 450D) AEB work. I've gone into the menu and select and change the AEB range ( -2V) and pressed "set." Working from the "AV" in creative mode, I then set up my first shot with focus and ISO, and shoot. Now what? When I press the shoot button, an ordinary photo is captured, and if I continue to press the button additional cap

My d90 flashes an err sign somtimes when i shoot at manual mode.. but when i change my apperture and shutter speed setting, it will not appear anymore. Even at auto mode sometimes it flashes an err. Does the d90 flashes an error when you made wrong setting in your apperture and shutter speed?

On page 256 of the D-90 user manual it says that an ERR message indicates a camera malfunction and that the malfunction can be cleared by releasing the shutter. I found that the only way I could release the shutter is to turn the camera off and back ... Nikon D90 Digital Camera with 18-105mm lens

I would like to know how to put it on a sports setting and how I can change the shutter speed so that there isn't as big of a delay from when I push the button to take the picture to when it is actually taken.

There are a range of various image type settings available via the menu but, in the specifications I found on line at CNN there was no Sports Setting. The time lag between pressing the button and the shutter opening is a common problem. You may be ab ... Samsung BL103 Digital Camera

I have a nikon d200. The last time I used it (only a few days ago) it was fine, everything normal. Then yesterday I pull out out of the case and everything seems to be going wrong. It is metering INSANELY low, like a shutter speed of 100 in full daylight produces a REALLY dark image. It won't auto focus at all, and i am unable to change the fstop in manual or aperture priority modes. I tried to restore it to factory settings and the lcd screen flashed to indicate it had been restored but no luck

On the Canon G3 I have issues with the main dial on the handgrip (used for aperture shutter speed and manual focus) while in Manual mode. it will change settings only some of the time! is this usually due to dust in the area and can it be cleaned or otherwise made operational?

Over exposure The exposure settings on the camera have suddenly become fixed - I can't change them either through fixing shutter speed, OEV, or any other settings. Even tried a factory reset by selecting 'initialize' from the menu, but the problem persists. High or low exposure settings are visible on the viewfinder (i.e. changing the settings shows the picture getting darker or lighter on the screen), but once the picture is shot, it's fixed at an overexposed state.

How do you change the shutter speed on a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ7 Digital Camera? I want to take pictures of lightning with it, I have found the ISO settings find and changed them to what I want, but the shutter speed isnt quick enough.

On my Finepix S9500 when I select programmed aperture or shutter priority when I go to select the speed or aperture I am unable to change the aperture or shutter speed, or in fact the ISO setting. The camera seems to work well in automatic mode but I am unable to do any creative work because I can't overide the autp mode. Help!!

The mode dial doesn't seem to work. The camera is stuck on the high speed sequential setting. When we select iauto, it takes one picture and then freezes. When we select the camera option on the mode dial, it takes 13-15 pictures in succession and then freezes. The pictures are taken without the button being pressed. We need to power off to change modes. The camera did work for a little while.

Base from the description of your problem what we can do here first to correct the problem is to reset or restore the camera settings to its default from the camera MENU. Then once you done that check if its working fine now. ... Olympus Digital Cameras

Shutter speed I have had my camera for 6 months. Today I used it for soccer pics and put it on sport mode and every pic I took is blurry. We looked on the information of the pics and the shutter speed is really low. My husband started to look and try to manually adjust some things and the speed will not change. States LOW. I also looked at the soccer portraits I took right before the action shots same day...and some of those are a little blurry as well. What could be wrong? Please help!

Dim Photos My G3 has begun to take very dim photos, all iso speeds are affected plus Auto mode. It can barely focus, even with the assist light on. If it was the light meter (setting too high an aperture?) it would probably be able to focus, right. When I take a picture it always sets f2.0 1/60 sec, even at iso400. Is it the image sensor?

Put the camera in to the full auto mode. If the pictures are still dark, it is possible that the apature inside of the lens is not working. There is a micro-motor, gear assembly, iris leaf assembly, and a servo amp circuit that drives the apature. Th ... Canon PowerShot G3 Digital Camera

I have a Fuji S1000FP and for the most part it takes great photos EXCEPT when I take pictures into the sun then my photos are either white or black and no image. I will admit I just want a point and shoot camera because I don't understand shutter speed and such. However, I have attempted to change the shutter speeds and still nothing. I have tried all the pre settings as well. (This camera claims to be one of the better outdoor cameras. ) Can anyone offer words of wisdom on this. Ruth

All of a sudden every picture I take with the 55-200 zoom lens is blurry and slightly out of focus. Pictures with the 18-55 lens are still sharp. I have been using that 55-200 lens for years for sports shots, and have never had any problem. I get the same blurriness shooting in both the auto sports setting and in shutter priority. It is a brand new issue. Could it be the AF servos starting to go in the lens, or am I doing something stupid?

Simplest answer is that you may have accidentally flipped the focus switch (A/M) on the lens to M. This turns off autofocus for that lens (which you might need to do if autofocus just can't resolve the image). Try turning it back to A.Ano ... Nikon D40x Digital Camera

My camera is brand new, got it just last week. I tried using the S mode on the mode dial and tried shooting with the fastest shutter speed, but all pictures turned out to be blank/black. The same happened for the P, A and M mode. May I know if it's a problem with my settings or the camera?

Photographing is matching the shutter speed and aperture to the ambient lighting conditions to create the effect you want. 'Auto'- and 'P'-mode should match those automatically. 'S' will choose the aperture and 'A' the shutter speed according to the ... Nikon D5000 Digital Camera

Hi i am using a Nikon N75 to take pictures for my photo class, and the instructor wants us to take low light indoor phtotos at a shutter speed of 1/30 at f2.2. However, when i go to set these settings in manual mode the camera will not let me set my aperture to 2.2 it usually stops at 4 and there is no way i can make it 2.2. i didn't know if there is a limitation on the camera but it seems like i should be able to select what i want.

It's probably a limitation of your lens. You didn't say what lens you're using, but one of the common kit lenses sold with the N75 only goes to f/3.3 at best. If you had a lens that opens up more, the camera will let you use it.The differ ... Nikon Digital Cameras

Pink tinge When I shoot a picture in bright sunlight, the picture always has a pink tinge to it. I have tried putting in manual mode, and adjusting the shutter speed and the f setting but I just can't seem to to get this to stop. I have also tried to adjust the white balance. I am new at doing this and I would like any help you can give. Thank you. All of the pictures have a very distorted color. They all have a pinkish-violet color. They look awful. Any suggestions?

My Sony Alpha 200 digital camera takes lovely pictures, but as I am a beginner and don't really know much about apertures and shutter speeds and how complex they are, I'm having great difficulty in getting it to focus properly in the manual setting.
