I have recently been on vacation. I checked photos on the LCD screen after a days shooting. All was well. I have now downloaded the pictures to my computer. Photos from the first several days are missing and perhaps others too, scattered through the remaining days. When I try to review the pictures again on the LCD screen I can see the pictures I was able to download but also many blank screens with "incompatible JPEG". What does this mean and is there a way to retrieve my missing pictures fro

Image distortion I am having trouble when I download pictures onto my computer. The images look fine on LCD but once downloaded have either distorted color (streaks of green or other colors) or they have lines running through which make the images not aligned correctly. Each time I download pictures from the camera a greater quantity of pictures seem to be distorted and corrupted.

Why does the FinePix E510 pictures download from the camera at 72 dpi when the camera was set to take 500 megapixel photos? I cannot find any way to adjust this in the finepix manual or in online help. I was helping someone download pics from his new camera and tried both Adobe Photoshop album starter and the finepix software. But when i open a photo in Photoshop, it says the photo size is 72 DPI. (My nikon doesn't do this when downloaded.)

A couple of things - I don't think you mean 500 megapixels (that is a lot!) but I assume you mean you expected a high resolution image. You may have it! The dpi setting is largely irrelevant (for photographers) as it simply relates number of pixels ... Fuji Finepix S5800 Digital Camera

The top (monochrome) LCD on our Nikon D80 recently broke. I think that it is actually called the "Control Panel," and displays settings, battery life, number of pictures remaining, etc. Please note that this is not the 2.5" color LCD on the rear of the camera. I know that it is merely the LCD because the backlight works, as does portions of the LCD display itself. Does anyone know of a guide or video to perform this repair? Also, does anyone know the part number? I plan to call Nikon tomor

Downloading problem I bought a Nikon D80 in November of 2007 and it has been operating fine since. However today I tried to download some pictures onto my computer using Photoshop Elements 4.0.
