Having problems with your Nikon D80 Digital Camera with 18-135mm Lens ?

Nikon d80 i purchased a nikon d80 and after taking pictures, i noticed a small spot on the photos that i've taken, the spot always appear on the same place.

Answers :

Its because your CMOS need cleaning.
just clean the cmos and it will b back to life !!

This will work !!
It might be caused by some dirt on your lens (either front or rear element) but is more likely to be dust on the cameras sensor.

There are a couple of sample images of what this looks like here and here.

Dust spots typically have a softish edge to them and affect more than 1 pixel. (if it is just the 1 pixel affected, which a very sharp edge, this could be a defective sensor).

Following the instructions in the manual for cleaning the sensor. Avoid touching the sensor (unless it is with a specialist sensor cleaning brush) and avoid cans of compressed air; use a hand-blower brush instead.

I have Nikon D50 (11 months old) with two NIKON lenses - 18-55 (came with camera) and 70-300 (from my old Nikon F65). I have recently noted a spot appear in certain shots (mainly where sky is present) that is there in the same place whichever lens I use. Could this be a dust speck or similar on the CCD? If so, is there an easy way of cleaning the sensor? Regards Roland Zilz UK

I have a D-80 Nikon with a small spot that always looks darker than the rest of the picture. It is roughly round and about the size of a quarter viewed at arms length compared to the picture it is on. It is only slightly darker than the rest of the picture and is usually only noticeable on a landscape or similar picture where the sky has a spot that looks like slightly darker blue sky. I am guessing there has been a spot of water on the CCD that left behind some residue when it dried.

Sounds to me like you're on the right track. \015\012\015\012There are plenty of places that can clean your CCD for you if you can be without the camera for a little bit, but there is also the solution of cleaning the CCD yourself. This ... Digital Cameras

There's some dust spots in my pictures with my Nikon D80. I have sent it for sensor cleaning at Nikon centre but seems that the spots cannot be removed as the technician says it's hidden underneath/behind the sensor. I am not sure how true it is or the technician is just plain lazy because I had to tell him where the spots were 3 times before he got the remove most of them. The spots are not visible if I don't scrutinise the pictures though but it sure is irritating knowing there are 1 more spec

I think the problem is with the technician. I suggest you talk to the manager and ask for another technician to help you with this problem. I do not recommend trying to clean the sensor yourself as you may cause more harm than good. ... Nikon D80 Digital Camera with 18-135mm Lens

I suspect dust has collected somewhere inside the lens where I can not get at it. I have gently cleaned the outside surface of the lens and have blown it off with compressed air but the problem persists, What c
