Having problems with your Nikon D80 Digital Camera with 18-135mm Lens ?

In P S A mode I am getting very dark pictures very fast shutter speed resulting in under exposure

Answers :

Have you accidentally left exposure compensation set to underexpose your shots? The fact that the fault only occurs in those modes certainly suggests it.

To return the camera to its default settings is really easy: look at the top right of the camera (as viewed from behind). look for the two buttons with green dots beside them, they'll be the +/- and AF buttons.Press them both at the same down and hold until the LCD panel blinks and then release the buttons. Note that the reset only affects camera settings; it does not format the memory card or delete your images.

If this doesn't work then you have a camera fault and it then needs to go to an authorised Nikon Service Centre.
Arent you able to set the shutterr speed with the settings?
\015\012Remove off the batttery and put back after some times, select a low speed and click, if no response while cliccking tap onthe lens hood several times.
\015\012If not then at waht speed does the shutter inititates, if so increase the aperture wide to accomodate more light so that it compensates . No this wont solve the issue as we need to open and see the reason for shutter speed control, can be the triggger circuit.

I was at a basketball game last night and taking pictures with the d80 and the 55-200 lens. All of the pictures I took in auto focus were blurry. I changed it to the S mode with shutter speed at 4000 and those pictures came out completely dark with nothing in the picture. I changed the setting to the sports mode and the shutter speed is not fast enough because I have the same issue with blurring or out of focus.

Nikon D80 with a Sigma Lens (80 to 200 I think). In manual mode, often shutter won't release - this was a close up of a hummingbird with a fast shutter speed. Internal light meter showed underexposed, but the background was dark green. Initially, the shutter released, but later would not operate either with a remote, or by manually depressed the shutter release button. Switching back to auto, the camera seemed to work fine, but in this mode could not get the desired shutter speed. In full manual

Over exposure The exposure settings on the camera have suddenly become fixed - I can't change them either through fixing shutter speed, OEV, or any other settings. Even tried a factory reset by selecting 'initialize' from the menu, but the problem persists. High or low exposure settings are visible on the viewfinder (i.e. changing the settings shows the picture getting darker or lighter on the screen), but once the picture is shot, it's fixed at an overexposed state.

We adjusted the settings to fast shutter speeds and now get a "systen error - focus" and cannot take pictures and the motor is not pulling the lense back in when we switch it off. We can hear the motor turning but it does not appear to work. Also the front protection shutter does not close properly.

Incorrect metering I have a Nikon D40x. About every 100 or so frames that i take, there is a problem with the Nikon Metering system. It incorrectly chooses the Aperture and Shutter Speed. Outdoors, it sometimes overexposes pictures. Indoors, it makes them very dark or black. Should i take this in to get it fixed? I have extended warranty...Alas, this is an intermittent problem. Thoughts?

It may be a problem with the camera, but you should be using the manual modes....they are much more accurate. if you are worried about it being a defect issue, then send it in.....I have one also, and have found it to be a bit slow on the ... Nikon D40x Digital Camera

My Fuji s2000 always shoots picture that are blured. I have tried many settings and different exposures however I keep getting the same result. What can I do ? The worst mode on this camera is the auto mode, I can never get a clear indoor picture. This camera takes beautiful pictures of flowers/nature and all outdoor photo's turn out beautiful it is the indoor photo's I have even tried the sports mode for when people move but I still get a very blured image

Nikon D40 pictures taken but too dark even in AUTO mode with flash on a bright day. also, some days ago I had the Shutter release error message while taking some photos. After that, the camera is acting weird, pictures sometimes are taken but the picture is always dark, although flash is used and AUTO mode selected. I do not see the error message anymore, but the camera simply do not take pictures properly. I tried formatting, etc with no result.

Shutter Lag All, I have an Olympus 5050 Digital Camera that I have been using for a while now for home use and I am quite happy with the results. The only complaint I have is with the capture speed of the camera. The shutter lag seems to be about between 3-5 seconds which becomes quite obvious while taking pictures of moving objects (moving kids). I don't know if the issue is with the shutter speed of the camera or with the slower memory cards. I am using the SimpleTecg 256 MB Compact Flash card

Card speed won't interfere with shutter lag.\015\012\015\012The lag is much less (near non-existent) if you pre-focus. Or use manual focus with small enough aperture to get lots of depth of field. Make sure your kids are in the focus zone and just sn ... Olympus Camedia C-5050 Zoom Digital Camera
