I have a nikon d200. The last time I used it (only a few days ago) it was fine, everything normal. Then yesterday I pull out out of the case and everything seems to be going wrong. It is metering INSANELY low, like a shutter speed of 100 in full daylight produces a REALLY dark image. It won't auto focus at all, and i am unable to change the fstop in manual or aperture priority modes. I tried to restore it to factory settings and the lcd screen flashed to indicate it had been restored but no luck
Your boyfriend is probably right, and it makes sense, if you can't change the f-stops. \015\012The following blog on Flickr might help you:\015\012 ... Nikon D200 Body Only Digital Camera
My Vivitar Series 1 24-70 manual focus ais lens won't work on program in my Nikon FA. I bought both new, but have stored them for a long time. It works on aperture priority, shutter priority, and manual, just not in program. All my other lenses do, including other Vivitar lenses, so it must be the lens. Fresh batteries in the camera. I get the FEE message, which means the lens is not set on the smallest aperture, but it IS set on the smallest aperture. I have tried dismounting and remounti

Dark pictures I have a Canon EOS REbel T2 with the standard 28-90 lens. It had been working fine, but now my pictures are (almost all) coming out very dark and grainy. Further, I note that if I turn the camera 90 degrees to that a "portrait" picture -- 6" tall and 4" wide, I see a dark rectangle in the picture in the bottom right quadrant. I always set the camera to full program (the green rectangle). I have been using Fuji 400 speed file of late. Do you have any idea what I"m doing wrong?
Check whether the ISO rating set in the camera is correct. Also, if the images are grainy and dark, it may be an issue with the exposure. ... Canon EOS Rebel T2 with 28-90 lens 35mm Film Camera
Dark Pictures Before taking the picture, the image in the view screen looks fine. After I push the shutter button, the flash goes off and the picture is taken, but the pictures come out very dark.
This is very much related to the timing of the shutter activation and the flash firing since its okay to shoot outdoors. calibration may solve this, i will try to find som info about it then post it here for everyone else. ... Canon PowerShot A640 Digital Camera
I've done something to my Olympus pen epl1! The photos taken with Programme, Shutter Priority, Aperture Priority and Manual modes all have a blueish tinge. iAuto, art, scene modes are all fine. How do I fix this? Thanks!
I sounds like you have altered the white balance setting somehow. This will be in the setup menus. You want it set to auto. If it is already on auto, then I would think the camera has a fault. ... Olympus PEN EPL1 Digital Camera

I've recently noticed a wide dark horizontal line approx 1/4 of the way down from the top of my screen display. The camera is kept in my home office, has not been dropped, gotten wet or exposed to extreme temps or humidity. The still photos come out fine but the videos I take have the line going through them. I played with it this evening and notice that the line moves down to about 1/4 of the way up from the bottom of the screen when I press the shutter in picture mode and stays there while

My built in flash won't fire in dark sceneries, it worked fine a coupl of hours ago. Every setting is in auto, Is it related to other setings? The camera works fine in bright areas except during the dark due to the flash freezing the shutter. Can I fix this with setting adjustments? I already tried using the master reset but it didn't work.

When taking photos with the camera set at the shutter priority, all the photos come out black. I have a lens with a f/2.8, but the on the screen on top the camera, the f reading is showing LO. I have taking photos for the last three weeks off our high school football games with the camera set up in shutter priority, iso at 1250 and my f/2.8. now for some reason the f reading is showing LO and all photos are black.
You mention everything except the shutter speed. When the aperture shows "Lo" it's saying that there isn't enough light at your selected shutters peed to produce a good exposure. That's why you have dark photos. You may need to bump the ISO up hi ... Nikon D300 Body Only Digital Camera
Nikon D80 with a Sigma Lens (80 to 200 I think). In manual mode, often shutter won't release - this was a close up of a hummingbird with a fast shutter speed. Internal light meter showed underexposed, but the background was dark green. Initially, the shutter released, but later would not operate either with a remote, or by manually depressed the shutter release button. Switching back to auto, the camera seemed to work fine, but in this mode could not get the desired shutter speed. In full manual

Aloha, My Lumix DMC-TZ3 is having issues. When I turn it on it is extremely dark. It's almost as if the camera is only registering one side of the color spectrum. Even the pictures that are taken come out dark, so I'm guessing it's a lens problem. Not sure how it happened, because the camera was not dropped or treated badly anytime recently. The day before it started going wonky, the pictures and camera were fine. Could this be a lens issue or something internal. Is there a reset button to resto

I have a Canon EOS 40D camera. We are having problems with using an external flash. The pictures always come out extremely dark with the external flash. The flash seems to work fine, it flashes brightly. The pictures look fine using the built in flash. The flash is a Promaster but we tried a Canon flash and it did the same thing. I am using Canon 1000D dslr for more than 18months, it was working fine until last Sunday. I went outside and started taking few shots... it was not focusing properly (or should I say not at all!) and pictures are coming blurred. When I press the shutter button half, it should run the motor (in autofocus mode) and focus, but it is not doing anything (i.e. no red dots are coming)... what could be the problem? Thanks for any help.................
The autofocus motor could be be broken, or the lens may not be communicating correctly with the camera. One thing that can help if it's not communicating correctly is to clean the lens contacts. D60: I just got back from Certified Repair group where they said the camera is "okay". The Problem: It's like the ISO has shifted, and the readings on P, S, A, even M all result in a long exposure/wide open aperture reading. Frequently the reading is such that the shutter will not release, due to no focus or wrong light amount. Frequently the focus "peep" does not go off, and so the shutter will not release. Two weeks ago it was fine, don't think I changed anything, but it's like a setting is

Problematic Camera I have a EasyShare DX4530 which has suddenly started acting funny. Here's the sequence of events: - power up works fine - lens comes out ok - green light glows steady, ready for a picture - picture takes fine - green light doesn't turn on again - no amount of pressing the shutter button will bring the green ready light back - pressing the SHARE button a couple times (sometimes 2, 3, even 4 times) will move thru the share sequence and then finally exit that function, turning
