Shutter speed I have had my camera for 6 months. Today I used it for soccer pics and put it on sport mode and every pic I took is blurry. We looked on the information of the pics and the shutter speed is really low. My husband started to look and try to manually adjust some things and the speed will not change. States LOW. I also looked at the soccer portraits I took right before the action shots same day...and some of those are a little blurry as well. What could be wrong? Please help!

I was at a basketball game last night and taking pictures with the d80 and the 55-200 lens. All of the pictures I took in auto focus were blurry. I changed it to the S mode with shutter speed at 4000 and those pictures came out completely dark with nothing in the picture. I changed the setting to the sports mode and the shutter speed is not fast enough because I have the same issue with blurring or out of focus.

My Rebel XT automatic sport mode photos are all blurry. I noticed that the shutter speed only reads around 13. There is also a pause indicating a slower shutter speed. Any suggestions?
There isn't enough light for that scene. 1/13th of a second is the fastest at that ISO (automatically set by camera in Basic Mode) and Aperture (auto set by camera too, in Basic Mode) that the camera can handle to provide a reasonably exposed image. ... Canon Rebel XT / EOS 350D Digital Camera
Hi i am using a Nikon N75 to take pictures for my photo class, and the instructor wants us to take low light indoor phtotos at a shutter speed of 1/30 at f2.2. However, when i go to set these settings in manual mode the camera will not let me set my aperture to 2.2 it usually stops at 4 and there is no way i can make it 2.2. i didn't know if there is a limitation on the camera but it seems like i should be able to select what i want.
It's probably a limitation of your lens. You didn't say what lens you're using, but one of the common kit lenses sold with the N75 only goes to f/3.3 at best. If you had a lens that opens up more, the camera will let you use it.The differ ... Nikon Digital Cameras

No. If you use any of the modes, the shutter speed and aperature are controlled by the camera. It does set them up to have higher shutter speeds in the sports mode, though. \015\012\015\012If you're having problems with getting the shu ... Digital Cameras
Night shots Can someone tell me what My camera should be set on to take night shots. I have tried and tried to figure it out and cant. They do not come out they end up being very dark and usually blurry too. I have a Nikon D70 and love it but get very frustrated because of not being able to take night shots. My son is playing football and I wanted to take some shots off him in his game last weekend and just couldn't figure it out. Any help would be great.
Unfortunately, the problem is severalfold. Although our eyes are able to adjust to light levels over an extremely wide range, camera sensors can not. The sensor can have its sensitivity adjusted by changing the ISO setting, but doing so d ... Nikon D70s Digital Camera

NIKON D1X Hi I just bought a D1X nikon, in the full manual mode when I change the shutter speed, I can hear no change in the sound it makes when going from 125 to 16K. Shutter speed I'm trying to work out the mode which gives the shutter speed of 1/1500 I think it's the 'sports' mode but unsure if aperture will also need adjusting Is this right? If not how do I achieve fastest shutter sped? Thanks

Nikon D80 with a Sigma Lens (80 to 200 I think). In manual mode, often shutter won't release - this was a close up of a hummingbird with a fast shutter speed. Internal light meter showed underexposed, but the background was dark green. Initially, the shutter released, but later would not operate either with a remote, or by manually depressed the shutter release button. Switching back to auto, the camera seemed to work fine, but in this mode could not get the desired shutter speed. In full manual

Blurry pics The last time I used this camera, most of the pictures came out very blurry. I had to try to hold the camera completely still to keep them reasonably clear. These were just pictures of people, no sports, etc. It was on the usual auto setting. Even the ones that weren't too blurry were very grainy. It has worked fine in the past and I have never dropped it or gotten it more than rained-on wet. What could be the problem?
