I receive the same "errr" message. The photo shop said it was a bad contact, they cleaned them with an eraser and made sure there was good contact. Problem was slightly better, but still exists. I have to remove the battery to clear the problem, turning it off and back on does no good. You can actually feel the lense move ever so slightly. Camera has gone back to Nikon for a repair. Very disappointed at this point with this. Camera store acknowledged that they have seen many of these.

Hi, I've a Sigma 28-105mm aspherical 3.5-5.6 lens. Auto focus does not engage. I can hear the motor trying, but the ring does not turn. When I switch to manual focus, I can turn the ring to focus manually, but I still hear the motor trying to use autofocus. Additionally, sometimes the shutter will not fire in manual focus while the motor is still searching. I've cleaned the contacts, but no joy. I suspect a faulty switch, but that doesn't completely explain the autofocus not engaging. I am

Hi there, im having a problem turning on my camera. I press th on/off button and the len comes out but suddenly the led below the "M" button flashes red and gets turn off, but if I press "viewing pictures" button, the camera works ok showing all the pictures and says that the baterry is full. My Canon 5D mkI turns on ok, will focus, displays top and back, but it will not take a shot. I have two batteries, both which I have charged to full and tried (display shows full charge). Memory card errors. I turn it on and get message MEMORY CARD ERROR PLEASE CHECK CARD. Occurs on different cards. Sometimes I can clean the contacts on the card and it will work. Sometimes, I can take pictures but if I remove the card it cannot be read if install it back or by a computer or printer. SAME PROBLEM I didn't drop S60 or hit anything. When turn on the power, a motor vibration noise will be heard. Turn it off and turn it on again may get it work luckily. The repair center said the belt is not on the motor gear and asked $100 repair charge even it is still in warranty. Seems Nikon S60 has potential quality problem here.
