\015 After making about 20 photos outdoors I attempted to make some family photos indoors and camera would not shoot. Thinking that the issue was low light I expected a flash to pop up automaticaly but it did not. If I remember correctly, then I tried to turn it off and right back on but I think camera froze. I took the battery out and put it right back in immediately but I still could not turn the camera back on. I tried another battery but camera still did not power on. I recharged battery but camera is still COMPLETLY DEAD. Top screen doesn't show anything. No matter what I do camera has no funcion or indication that has any power. \015\012I pressed reset swich as recommended and camera is still with out any kind power. Camera did not get wet. I took memory card several times in and out and it did not work, camera is still dead. \015\012On line I found a tread talking about very similar issue. If anybody can elaborate on this please do so. It seems this guy had a some sort blown fuse in the camera. Here is a treat content:"Hi, I owned my D70s for almost 1.5 years and I have taken more than 2,500+ shots with no problem until today when I tried to change the lens during my daughter's Christmas program, the camera sudden got frozen, so I take the battery out and put it back in and my D70s became no response since then. I tried to do the factory reset by pressing the small reset button at the bottom of the body but nothing happen, am I doing the reset correctly?" "An electronics repair shop in nairobi repaired it. they said it was a blown diode/fuse .. (not sure) in the power motherboard. It coasted me about $80 and its super since."\015

Am I loosing my mind?? My Nikon D80 no longer displays an image while I'm composing a picture. It definitely did..I was in the middle of composing and it just shut off. It displays in playback & after the picture is taken but no longer while composing. I've had this camera for over a year & use it frequently. I took it to a camera shop and they said the d80 does not show "live view" & I must be mistaking it for d90. I definitely have the d80.

I cannot seem to figure out how to turn off the camera display on my D80 when looking at pics I took. Its just a display of the specs of the camera its says things along the lines of Camera: Nikon D80 Shutter speed Metering all that fun stuff. I know this is a dumb question but how do I turn it off?

Nikon D80, how do you turn off the r09, r11 and/or r17 alert (depending which Image Quality setting I have the camera set to)? I have sent the camera back to Nikon twice and twice it has come back with the r-whatever still appearing on the LCD screen once I depress the shutter button.
The r09, r11 or r17 just tells you how many pictures you can shoot before the internal memory buffer is full. It's not an error message, and I don't think there's any way to turn it off. ... Nikon D80 Digital Camera with 18-135mm Lens
