\015\012Your shutter will stick if it gets dirty or dust gets in the camera, a reputable camera shop can inspect the shutter, the sensor for dust & dirt and can clean it for you. If the battery is low while shooting the shutter can also stick on longer exposures.

I was at a basketball game last night and taking pictures with the d80 and the 55-200 lens. All of the pictures I took in auto focus were blurry. I changed it to the S mode with shutter speed at 4000 and those pictures came out completely dark with nothing in the picture. I changed the setting to the sports mode and the shutter speed is not fast enough because I have the same issue with blurring or out of focus.

Nikon D80 with a Sigma Lens (80 to 200 I think). In manual mode, often shutter won't release - this was a close up of a hummingbird with a fast shutter speed. Internal light meter showed underexposed, but the background was dark green. Initially, the shutter released, but later would not operate either with a remote, or by manually depressed the shutter release button. Switching back to auto, the camera seemed to work fine, but in this mode could not get the desired shutter speed. In full manual

I bought a second hand d70s. it seems to have a problem. the shutter release button does not seem to do anything when pressed half way (like auto focus). I can only get autofocus to work if i program AE-L/AF-L button to AF-ON. I press the AE-L/AF-L button on the back, then press the shutter to take the shot. And if i set the AE Lock On, pressing the shutter button half way does not lock the exposure setting. so there seems to be an issue with the shutter button itself...is there an easy fi

Shutter Lag All, I have an Olympus 5050 Digital Camera that I have been using for a while now for home use and I am quite happy with the results. The only complaint I have is with the capture speed of the camera. The shutter lag seems to be about between 3-5 seconds which becomes quite obvious while taking pictures of moving objects (moving kids). I don't know if the issue is with the shutter speed of the camera or with the slower memory cards. I am using the SimpleTecg 256 MB Compact Flash card

Card speed won't interfere with shutter lag.\015\012\015\012The lag is much less (near non-existent) if you pre-focus. Or use manual focus with small enough aperture to get lots of depth of field. Make sure your kids are in the focus zone and just sn ... Olympus Camedia C-5050 Zoom Digital Camera

Nikon d80 - most of the time memory card access lamp flashes and shutter release button doesn't trigger shutter. Sometimes it will stop blinking and camera will fire. Shutter issue When I turn the cam on the lens comes out, but the shutter over the lens only opens part way. When I turn the can off, the lens retracts and the shutter opens all the way and stays open instead of closing as it should. Not sure how it happened.

I have a D80 since 2 years and since last 1 week have been getting the 'Err' message. Initially, after referring to the manual & pressing the shutter release button, the camera responded only ONCE. i.e. the 'Err' message disappeared and the pics were SEEN on the screen (which means the shutter was working). Now, even that has stopped. I'm not able to click any pictures (although the mirror moves) and certain specific menus & other buttons on the body dont work. Now on pressing the shutter re

I cannot seem to figure out how to turn off the camera display on my D80 when looking at pics I took. I dropped my camera and since then I can take photos, the camera focuses, my display is fine when viewing previously shot images and the normal display information but when the shutter is pressed all o see is black. I don't know if the images are being taken or if they aren't. I tried taking of the lense and pressing the shutter and a black box with a **** of light shows. With the lense on nothing but black shows. Is this issue with the lense or body? Any feedback is appreciated.

Poor focus I am using the Nikon d80 with a Sigma 24-70 mm lens. I am not satisfied with the crispness of the photos. I have tried shutter speeds of 1/500 and higher, using a tripod, and using shutter delay to get better clarity and sharp focus, but none has worked. The quality is not as good as my 2 meg Sony! Is this to be expected from the 10 meg cameras? thanks! [email protected]
