Having problems with your Nikon D90 Digital Camera with 18-105mm lens ?

D90 flash I just bought a new Nikon D90 and I was on a shoot and the built in flash popped up (in bright sun in manual mode) and I cannot get it to stay down. the camera will work but only to 200 shutter speed. if I hold the flash down then it will work at all shutter speeds. Any Ideas on how to get the flash to go down?

I was taking picture using the built in flash after the use it will not close. While taking the picture the camera was never drop or hit anywhere. I called nikon Tec. service and gave them my information and serial number. Also I have inform the operator that it was still under warranty for 90 days. The operator gave me the address to send the camera to be repaired. I paid $28. for ship and insurance. Two weeks later I did not received any information if they have received my camera. I called Nikon and they infromed me that they can not fix the camera because the camera is a gray market (bought from another country and shiped in to US without nikon permision) I told the operator I bought my Nikon D-90 online from a store at Brooklyn NY. and will send in the invoice. Which the operator stated that she can not do anything about it. I ask for a supervisor which he gave me no really information but just a run around about the govement is doing something about it. I asked what agency can I report this. He did not know. I asked if my nikon camera is made by nikon he stated yes. So, I asked him why nikon is not backing up it's own product. He did not answer that question but just kept on saying we will send back the camera to me. The stress I have with Nikon service was driving me crazy after paying over $1,200 and they can't do anything about it. After THREE WEEKS I did not received my camera. I called the Nikon again and they said they did not send the camera yet. Now almost two months this summer they had my camera. I would never EVER recommend nikon due to this experience. They give you the run around and then act like it is beyond their control to help you. It is not customer service. But they take your hard earn money and run away. Sorry to say this to David Dentry (Gerneral Manager, Customer relation) This Nikon company literally disgusts me.

I am unable to get the shutter speed above 1/60 on our D200. It was working fine. Is there some setting in the camera that would limit shutter speed even with flash?

I own a D90 and of late have had problem getting the shutter to actually fire and take a photo at times. It will work sometimes and not at others. I have tried changing the memory card - putting it on manual etc but still won't work. The battery is fully charged. It occasionally comes up with an r05 and r21 code in the R lower box and a flashing F at the top R when this seems to happen. I haven't played with the settings all that much - just since this has begun happening. Can you make any sugge

The r codes you mention are related to speeds of buffering information onto the memory card. A high ISO NR setting on the camera has a huge impact.... the cross over point is 800 ISO. If you have it on, and are on 800 or over, the remaining buffer ca ... Nikon Digital Cameras

Minolta x-300 I have my father's Minolta X-300. It all seems to work, I fitted new batteries, but there is a delay in the shutter speed. Could anyone tell me what I have done wrong, my Dad used it some time ago and it was alright, so I have got it wrong. Tha

Nikon D80 with a Sigma Lens (80 to 200 I think). In manual mode, often shutter won't release - this was a close up of a hummingbird with a fast shutter speed. Internal light meter showed underexposed, but the background was dark green. Initially, the shutter released, but later would not operate either with a remote, or by manually depressed the shutter release button. Switching back to auto, the camera seemed to work fine, but in this mode could not get the desired shutter speed. In full manual

I have reset the camera as well to no avail. please help! thanks :)

Hi, I've just recieved my nikon d90 back from a repair and service, and although everything appears to be working fine, whenever I want to change shooting modes,( auto, P, M, flash off etc), they only work once I have selected them, and then turned the camera off and back on. In other words I cannot be shooting in the Auto mode and then switch to "flash off auto"....all that happens is that the auto focus works but the shutter will not operate. Hi. I am on vacation in the Indian Ocean islands at this moment with a brand new Nikon D90 + 18-105 lens. Was taking photos this morning. From one shot to another, the camera suddenly stopped working. When I press the shutter button, it still focuses and when I click through, I can hear the shutter clicking (tried this with different shutter speeds). However, no photo is captured/stored. Also, the Lv button no longer works. When I press it, the camera is unable to switch from viewfinder to LCD l

White screen? My camera has suddenly stopped working. When I press the red 'shoot' or green 'review' button, all I get on the display is a white screen. Pressing the shutter button does make it shoot, and the zoom and the flash work. I have just taken the card out and examined the jpg files - it is still taking pictures. So it's the display that is busted. I guess my question is: Is it worth the repair bill to get it fixed?

Hi, I'm using A630 for past 3 years, so far its working well but suddenly, I observe that the flash timing is not matching. Mirror locked up at 125th or slower and infill flash does not flash. At faster speed it works fine. The display on top of camera goes virtually blank and battery display flahes a sif it battery was exhausted. If shutter release is pressed again then camera goes back to normal 'ready to sheet' mode.As flash is synced to 125th I suspect that the flash is the problem (or maybe it is just coincidence) I have tried cleaning, used lenses and put in a brand new battery. Any clues?

Poor focus I am using the Nikon d80 with a Sigma 24-70 mm lens. I am not satisfied with the crispness of the photos. Where do I go to get simple manual focus instructions for my fujifilm s1500? I am trying to work my way throughusing fstop and Iso and shutter speed, but I am not sure which numbers refer to what when I look at the three seperate bits of info at the bottom of the LCD screen. The numbers in the left side of the screen is shutterspeed and aperture number.\015\012125 means the shutterspeed is 1/125 sek.\015\012F is the aperturenumber. The higher F number, the smaller aperture opening, the higher depth-of-field. ... Fuji Digital Cameras

Brightness I recently bought the Olympus Stylus 700 and took it on a vacation with me and it worked fine, but shortly after returning, the camera began to take extremely bright pictures, in fact if there is any natural light (not produced by the flash), there is nothing but the vague outlines of some objects.
