New Nikon d90 the memory access lamp does not stop blinking

\015 In the off position. brand new camera \302\240charged it and formated the sandisk 8gb. and \302\240after a few pics and video i turned it off and noticed the lamp blinking, tried with different memory and the same. if I take the card out it stops. please help\015
