Problems shooting with Nikon D90

\015 At least half the time I want to take a photo the camera won't shoot. This occurs in tricky lighting but also in the middle of the day with easy targets. In the ISO-auto display there is an r. I have no idea what I am doing wrong.\015

Answers :

I have a similar problem. My D90 does not want to focus even in easy shots in bright day light. The F keeps on blinking. If I change from full auto to manual it still does not allow me to change the F stop and shutter speed! what do I do?
The r in the display is not an error. The number after the r simply tells you how many more shots the buffer can hold before it fills up.

If you're set for AF-S, the shutter will not release until focus is achieved. You can switch to AF-C or else focus manually.

This has nothing to do with the camera, but instead it has to do with the lens you are using. The standard lens you are using has an aperture of f/4.5 which is common across many lenses. If you wish to shoot in low light you need a lower "f-stop". ... Nikon D90 Digital Camera with 18-105mm lens

I have a Nikon D90 camera with a 180 - 300 lens that I use to shoot photos of my boys playing football. I have always had crystal clear shots from the stadium. Now that my boys are playing Varsity at night my shots are blurred and I usually end up deleting most of them. Any suggestions on how to correct this problem?

Obviously, shooting the pics at night requires a longer exposure. If you haven't changed any settings from your daylight pics, then your camera is probably setting a slower shutter speed to compensate for less light in the stadium. You need to raise ... Nikon D90 Digital Camera with 18-105mm lens

It seems to me that Nikon Point & Shoot cameras, or at least the last 2 that I have bought, have a usable life span of approx 4 or so years before the LCD's decide not to work in turn, makes the camera non usable. This is a mind bender, While doing a shoot using monolights connected to a Nikon D1x I encountered exposure problems. After the lights were metered for the best exposure, I started shooting. The first ten or so shots were fine, and all of a sudden the next ten shots looked like they were 8 stops over, and then it went to looking ok. The first thing I did was switch monolights thinking there was a problem with the flash, this did not resolve the issue. Next I switched camera bodies, still the int
