Having problems with your Nikon D90 Digital Camera with 18-105mm lens ?

At times my D90 camera freezes up for seemingly no reason...battery, memory card and settings all seem fine but no action. Anyone else having this problem?

Answers :

Another issue maybe your lens in not making full contact with the metal contacts, make sure the lens is tightly on, if you are still getting that error, take an erasure on a pencil and rub the metal contacts, this will clean them off. Hope this helps.
There are two kinds of error messages with D90 . mainly , F-- and ERR .
\015\012F-- , this is due to lens and camera not in contact properly. So you need to take out lens and put it back securely again.
\015\012ERR - This is when camera malfunctions.
\015\012For above two problems , usually if you switch off/on your camera then this problem should go away. If not then re-insert you batteries.
\015\012If its a recurrent problem then i suggest you check with your dealer. You can also refer to manaul for the messages.

Lines I am getting lines on my pictures. I wonder if anyone else has had this problem? I went through the diagnostic testing. That went fine. I reset all settings. I took the batteries out and the memory card for a half hour and put them back in. None of this worked. The best i can explaing is there horizpntal lines through the pictures. Any ideas??? My warranty is long expired. Just wonder if it's worth getting fixed or would it be better to purchase a new camera.

I have the exact same problem with MY HP 945 camera! It had horizontal lines through it in several of the shots. I thought at first it was the memory card, but after using that same card in another (older but still working HP) camera, and swapped in/ ... HP Photosmart 945 Digital Camera

Exposure problem Hi,i'm using EOS 1dMK2 for 5 months now & i've noticed the same problem i've had using D60,1D wich is when i set the camera to top ISO speed & high speed continous shooting almost every second shot is underexposed for 1 stop, stangely this only happens indoor under tungsten or flourescent light.I've also tried to:set custom white ballance, shoot raw ,change lenses, set manual exposure & aperture. Has anyone else noticed this ? P.S. Parameters for both pictures are 1/250sec, f4 ,

If you set your meter based on the white (or substantially white) wall, as per the attachment, I would expect the image to be underexposed. ... Canon EOS-1D Mark II Digital Camera

Media selection With both compact flash and xd memory cards installed at the same time, xd card works fine when selected, however, when selecting compact flash, camera will not take a picture and eventually says their is a write error. compact flash works fine on it's own. Does anyone else have this problem, mind you, it's only a small problem, the camera is really great. Stretch.

Images I seem to get yellowish images and images that are really dark even when I put the flash on. The flash seems weak, almost defected. But then in the next series of shots it will work and the picture will come out just fine. All of this in the same setting with the same subject and everything else a constant too.  Help please, it seems like I must be doing something wrong either that or my camera is broken. P.S. it is brand new Amber

No that isn't it but I am not offended. The flash in fact looks like it goes off but at 10% of the full strength. I had other people try to take a picture to see if the same thing happened to them and it did and I saw them, they did not have their ha ... Canon PowerShot SD1000 Digital Camera

Blurry Pictures I have had this camera less than a year. I took it to the beach 2 weeks ago and the camera was fine. Crystal clear pictures. Then, on the last day of vacation, the pictures started coming out blurry. Even when I am preparing to take a picture the view finder is blurry. The camera is on auto focus and it is set to the shoot and click setting (little green camera). It didn't get wet at all. Anyone know if there is a setting that I may have touched or is this an internal problem.

You probably got some condensation on the lens from going in and outside. You should be able to go to a Wolf Camera or similar store and have it cleaned. ... Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W50 Digital Camera

Trouble Connecting I went to upload my pictures onto my MacBook and the camera won't connect. It had been working fine before and I hadn't changed anything. I tried taking out batteries and memory card, switching USB ports, and making sure the camera was set on USB and not the disk setting. What else can I try?I feel like I had this problem before and maybe it had something to do with Rosetta on Macs...could that be it? But I don't know how/where/what to do for that.Thank you,Tia

Consider NOT connecting your camera to your computer. The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer ... HP Photosmart M425 Digital Camera

Olympus x-840 digital camera. Hi, there is a problem with the battery life; fully charged batteries seem to be exhausted after only a dozen or so pictures. The battery indicator plunging from a full set of greens to a single red and then the camera refusing to turn on. Then after taking the batteries out and re-inserting them everything seems fine again for the next few shots - and then the same cycle of events plays out again...

The best solution is to buy NiMh batteries 2300 mA or greater 2500 mA to 2700 mA and so I have no more problems with this excellent Olympus x 840 camera. In Belgium i have payed a little more than 50 euro for the batteries and the charger. ... Digital Cameras

Blue photos Can anyone tell me some reasons why some outdoor shots I took of snow/trees, etc. might look blueish? I took some pictures at sundown that came out fine, and ones I took about 10 minutes later look blue. I don't recall changing any settings. I also took similar shots at the same time with another digital camera and those looked fine. Is this something that's common in low light with a lot of white background? (Or is this a "user problem?")

Snow pictures tend to be blue due to the blue spectrum being scattered and reflected from the snow (similar to why the sky is blue). Plus just after sunset, you're going to get a cooler color temperature (blue cast).\015\012\015\012However, instead o ... Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ10 Digital Camera

Bluish background All my pictures recently have a bluish color, even when taken in sunlight. Has anyone else had this problem and how did you solve it? I am not very technically savvy, so it is possibly one of my settings that I set wrong. Thanks for any help

Light Meter When I am in manual mode, my light meter seems to be off, especially when I am in the sun. When I adjust the settings to even out the meter, my pictures always come out over exposed. I have to compensate by making them "under exposed" so that they come out normal. Does anyone know what the problem might be?

When I shoot on Apeture Priority my pictures appear washed out. I have tried changing the F-stop from 2.8, going lower, but nothing seems to work. I have also adjusted my ISO. Flash Error Hi there, bought this camera about 6 months ago. I'm intermittently getting a problem with the pop-up flash. It pops up fine, but the screen gives me an error telling me it hasn't and won't take any shots. Have to keep switching it off and on and hoping it will work again. Sometimes it's a couple of days before it works again. It will take shots when I switch the camera to the 'no flash' setting, so it does seem to be just the flash. The error says that the flash release is jamming,

The error 5 can mean that there is something blocking the flash from popping up. If it is up but still get the message then you need to check to see if the little black pin/stick that lets the camera know that the flash is up, is not stuck. With the ... Canon EOS 400D / Rebel XTi Digital Camera
