My Nikon D90 2 button reset won't work. Is there anyway to fix this, or a different way to reset aperture, shutter speed settings?

Answers :

The 2-button reset won't affect your aperture and shutter speed settings. They are controlled by the two command dials, in association with the exposure mode setting.

Command dial on a friend's Fuji Finepix S9000 is NOT functioning. Can't control aperture, shutter speed, flash settings, etc. Can it be opened and fixed (he has no warranty, thus no problem with opening it). Is there a special setting or way of turning or pressing buttons that he is doing wrong? It says to press (and hold?) a button then twist the dial, but no change is made as far as I can see. I have tried enless things and have much experience (though I'd be a fool not to ask others). A

Over exposure The exposure settings on the camera have suddenly become fixed - I can't change them either through fixing shutter speed, OEV, or any other settings. Even tried a factory reset by selecting 'initialize' from the menu, but the problem persists. High or low exposure settings are visible on the viewfinder (i.e. changing the settings shows the picture getting darker or lighter on the screen), but once the picture is shot, it's fixed at an overexposed state.

Coolpix L5 was functioning perfectly until today. Now it boots normally, focuses normally when the shutter button is partially pressed, but does nothing when the button is pushed all the way down. It will not shoot stills or video or even self-time a still shot. It behaves exactly as if the actual shutter release button is broken and doesn't make contact at the full pressed position. New batteries, memory card, resetting default menu settings--none of these help. It's running firmware 1.0.

I bought a second hand d70s. it seems to have a problem. the shutter release button does not seem to do anything when pressed half way (like auto focus). And if i set the AE Lock On, pressing the shutter button half way does not lock the exposure setting. so there seems to be an issue with the shutter button itself...is there an easy fi

Hi i am using a Nikon N75 to take pictures for my photo class, and the instructor wants us to take low light indoor phtotos at a shutter speed of 1/30 at f2.2. However, when i go to set these settings in manual mode the camera will not let me set my aperture to 2.2 it usually stops at 4 and there is no way i can make it 2.2. i didn't know if there is a limitation on the camera but it seems like i should be able to select what i want.

It's probably a limitation of your lens. You didn't say what lens you're using, but one of the common kit lenses sold with the N75 only goes to f/3.3 at best. If you had a lens that opens up more, the camera will let you use it.The differ ... Nikon Digital Cameras

External Flash I set my Epson 3100z camera to manual mode and set up the camera for external flash. I manually set the shutter speed to 1/60 sec and the aperture to F4. I also set my SunPak flash to F4. My exposures seem pretty good. However when I review the various photo info's, the aperture reading is F5 or F4.8 not the F4 I set. Why is this? Anyone experienced this? The shutter speed are also not always what I set on the camera.

The shutter speed priority setting on my Canon 40D keeps jumping to a different speed that I haven't set. E.g - set at 200, jumps to 25 when I go to take a photo.
