Having problems with your Nikon D90 Digital Camera with 18-105mm lens ?

How to use in Nikon d90 manual setting in best photograph for marriage purpose

Answers :

Based on this question, I would recommend that you use the Nikon D-90 automatic (green) setting. This is basically a point and shoot setting for inexperienced camera users which is what your question indicates.
\012I would not attempt to shoot manual pictures on a critical event such as a wedding without practicing a lot with the camera. The D-90 is an excellent camera with many, many incredible features but it has a long learning curve.
\012Using the automatic mode won't guarantee excellent pictures but it should guarantee some usable ones.

Concert settings Hi, I am going to a concert, can you tell me the best settings to have the camera on, when I have it on iA if the subject moves then the picture is blurry, as there will lots of movement I obviously need to change this, also when I used it at my son's school in low light the pictures came out dark. Would it be best for me to do manual settings, if so which one? Thanks Julie

Hey Osfan,\015\012 I will start by saying concert photographs are some of the hardest images to capture successfully. The first thing you probably should do is set the iso to the highest setting possible which on this ... Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ18K Digital Camera

Hi i am using a Nikon N75 to take pictures for my photo class, and the instructor wants us to take low light indoor phtotos at a shutter speed of 1/30 at f2.2. However, when i go to set these settings in manual mode the camera will not let me set my aperture to 2.2 it usually stops at 4 and there is no way i can make it 2.2. i didn't know if there is a limitation on the camera but it seems like i should be able to select what i want.

It's probably a limitation of your lens. You didn't say what lens you're using, but one of the common kit lenses sold with the N75 only goes to f/3.3 at best. If you had a lens that opens up more, the camera will let you use it.The differ ... Nikon Digital Cameras

When using external flash some are ok but some show movement, whats the best setting to use, ive tryed auto and manual, john

There is no single "best" setting, that's why the camera provides so many. It depends too much on the particular setting, the effect you're going for, and other factors. If you're seeing undesired movement, that's an indication that the sh ... Samsung GX-1S Digital Camera

Compare the Nikon d80 to the new d90. Can I use all my manual focus lenses from my Nikon film cameras? Also, all my filters and flashes.

All old lenses will work on the D90 the same way they work on the D80. Filters depend on the lens -- they either fit or they don't -- the camera has nothing to do with that. I wouldn't use old flashes on new DSLRs.There really is no diffe ... Nikon Digital Cameras

Hi. I use my Nikon D2x and 80-200 f2.8 zoom extensively, generally with a Hama cable release. Recently, the set-up stopped working. The camera focuses, but the release will not trip the shutter. The only clue (with a freshly formatted 16Gb CF card in use) is r17 in the viewfinder, although the manual fails to mention what this means. The cable release works perfectly on my D700 with the same lens. Anyone any ideas? Paul Perton Cape Town

To "up the exposure a bit" you need to dial in positive exposure compensation. Since you didn't specify what model camera you have, I can't give you specific instructions on how to do that.To reduce digital noise ("grain"), put more light ... Sony Digital Cameras

Have the Nikon D90 camera and it does not allow me to take pictures when ever I want. It is in full auto mode and just does not want to take the picture even in bright day light. The F keeps on blinking in full auto mode and even if I switch to manual mode it does not allow me to change settings. It is very frustrating! what is wrong with this D90??

The blinking F-- means that the camera doesn't think a lens is attached. You can try removing the lens and re-attaching it. Or if you have another lens, try that. There are quite a few reports of this issue with the 18-135 kit lens. ... Nikon D90 Digital Camera with 18-200mm lens

This has nothing to do with the camera, but instead it has to do with the lens you are using. The standard lens you are using has an aperture of f/4.5 which is common across many lenses. If you wish to shoot in low light you need a lower "f-stop". ... Nikon D90 Digital Camera with 18-105mm lens

I have a new D40x Nikon. Im trying to use it in manual mode however I can't set the F/number lower than F4.8 is this normal?

What lense are you using? you will not be able to set it lower than the minimum aperture of your lens, assuming it is the 18-55 which has a variable minimum aperture, it is 3.5-5.6 depending on where you have it set, at 18mm it will be 3.5 and as yo ... Nikon D40x Digital Camera

You can't meter through that lens. If the images are too dark, either slow down the shutter speed or open the aperture. Keep going until the picture looks okay on the monitor. I've read the manual, but I'm still not sure what settings would be the best to photograph close-pictures of jewelry. I want the pictures as clear as possible. A lot of my pictures are fuzzy even when I select the stabilizer in mode 2.
