Having problems with your Nikon D90 Digital Camera with 18-105mm lens ?

When i look through the viewfinder its darker than usual, my lens wont seem to come off its stuck even while holding down the release button and trying to rotate it by force. When taking pictures on auto mode the pictures are very dark no matter how much light there is. When i change the settings an ' Err' message is displayed. Whats wrong with my camera???? Help.

Answers :

Hi tin_080 , the aperture actuating lever was bent or loose and is ahead of the control mechanism of the diaphragm opening in the camera body.
Check this: point the lens towards you notice that the diaphragm is closed.
To avoid more costly damage you take it to a workshop for servicing.

Nikon D40 pictures taken but too dark even in AUTO mode with flash on a bright day. also, some days ago I had the Shutter release error message while taking some photos. After that, the camera is acting weird, pictures sometimes are taken but the picture is always dark, although flash is used and AUTO mode selected. I do not see the error message anymore, but the camera simply do not take pictures properly. I tried formatting, etc with no result.

Camera flash i generally use my camera on auto mode so i don't have to play around with buttons! however after loaning my camera to my sister for a week my flash is no longer as great as it was!! I used to take pics and the flash would light 2-3 times giving a great, bright picture. It now flashes once before the pic is snapped giving a dark picture. If i push the flash button on the left side of the scrolling circle it goes from red eye flash (which flashes once) to no flash! I'm almost certain

No worries, I think I can help you with this one.\015\012I believe that if you are using your Samsung Digimax in either "Auto" or "M" mode you will only have the options of "red eye flash" or "no flash". BUT HOWEVER, if you select the "Prog" mo ... Samsung Digimax S600 Digital Camera

Dark photos I am a new Nikon user and have the D80. This is way more camera than I will ever need. I can not take pictures without them being dark not even in the auto mode. This is inside or outside I have two lenses and have switched them and it's still dark. I was able to change the exposer to get them lighter but would think you could take pictures in auto that would be fine.

Have the Nikon D90 camera and it does not allow me to take pictures when ever I want. It is in full auto mode and just does not want to take the picture even in bright day light. The F keeps on blinking in full auto mode and even if I switch to manual mode it does not allow me to change settings. It is very frustrating! what is wrong with this D90??

The blinking F-- means that the camera doesn't think a lens is attached. You can try removing the lens and re-attaching it. Or if you have another lens, try that. There are quite a few reports of this issue with the 18-135 kit lens. ... Nikon D90 Digital Camera with 18-200mm lens

My pictures have a yellow cast to them and they are not very sharp. When I take pictures outside, my photos are invariably washed out. I find myself manually adjusting light balance before I print (either darkening if I take picture outside or lightening if I take the picture inside). I almost always use Auto mode. I have found nothing that corrects the nasty yellow cast.

When I take pictures with my D60 on Manual the optimal exposure seems to be lying to me. In both situations dark and light everything is much much darker than it should be at optimal exposure. I want to take pictures on Manual but am discouraged...

I was at a basketball game last night and taking pictures with the d80 and the 55-200 lens. All of the pictures I took in auto focus were blurry. I changed it to the S mode with shutter speed at 4000 and those pictures came out completely dark with nothing in the picture. I changed the setting to the sports mode and the shutter speed is not fast enough because I have the same issue with blurring or out of focus.

Close-up picture Hi! I purchased my camera to take up close-up pictures of handmade greeting cards. The cards are 4" x 5 1/2" with lots of little details. I'd like to show as much detail as possble. I'm not sure what the best setting are? I've tried using the flash, but the whole picture just glares out, the light bounces off of the card and makes a big glare in the center. Without the flash, the picture is too dark. Can you help me figure out the best setting to use? Or, what kind of lighting

The flash has been working fine until last night when I tried to take a picture and the flash was set to auto. When I press the button the little red light beside the flash sign lights up, but the camera does not take the photo. When I set it to flash mode, it still won't take a photo. When I turn off the flash, then it does. What could be the problem? Is it in the settings?

Dim Photos My G3 has begun to take very dim photos, all iso speeds are affected plus Auto mode. It can barely focus, even with the assist light on. If it was the light meter (setting too high an aperture?) it would probably be able to focus, right. When I take a picture it always sets f2.0 1/60 sec, even at iso400. Is it the image sensor?

I've got a Fujifilm F30. Since yesterday, its not working properly. When I take photos, it 'absorbs' too much light and indoor photos becomes really bright and outdoor photos becomes nearly white from brightness. And when I transfer the pictures to computer, it has minor lines accross the picture. The video mode seems to be unaffected. What is the problem and is it worth fixing ? Would like to fix it if I can as F30 is still considered one of the best compact camera Fuji has ever made ! Thanks.
