MY Nikon D50 w/55-200 lens isTaking Dark pictures now?

\015 Ok I have a Nikon D50. It was given to me. I do not have a manuel for it. It was taking great photos, even in the dark. Now It takes dark photos. I have also noticed when I look through the eye piece it is darker than before. I have children and they have used it. Could a switch/button been moved or perhaps something in the Menu been changed. Thank you for your help Sincerly, Camera newby 51677\015

I just got the Nikon D3000 for Christmas, new in the box. I began to put it together, and I attached the lens and heard the click and everything. It has an error message that says "Lens not attached", when the lens OBVIOUSLY is attached. I can only "take a picture" in M mode, but there really is no picture at all. All that I can get is a dark image. Please help! Btw, I don't fully understand professional photographical terms, so please explain them thoroughly. Thank you!

I just received my Nikon D3100 in the mail today, and I was so excited. When I opened the lens cap on the camera body to put the lens on a small, clear-ish rectangle fell out. It was surrounded by a thin cooper colored frame that is easily removable. It looked like a little magnifying glass so I am kind of nervous. It seems to shoot pictures fine, but some times it tells me the shot is to dark even though I am in full light. It also took black pictures the first few times and if I point it di

I got a Nikon D5000 and 18-55mm lens. When I take pictures using focal between 18-24 mm the deep of field is not sharp especially for landscape pictures. Dark pictures I have a Canon EOS REbel T2 with the standard 28-90 lens. It had been working fine, but now my pictures are (almost all) coming out very dark and grainy. Further, I note that if I turn the camera 90 degrees to that a "portrait" picture -- 6" tall and 4" wide, I see a dark rectangle in the picture in the bottom right quadrant. I always set the camera to full program (the green rectangle). I have been using Fuji 400 speed file of late. Do you have any idea what I"m doing wrong?
