Can D40X do double exposure on a single frame

\015 No information to set camera to expose twice on the same frame.\015

Answers :

The D40x does not have this facility.

All you can do is to combine two exposures in your processing software; it's best controlled by combining two or more RAW images.

Double-exposures Anyhow...shooting with a regular film camera I often shot intentional double-exposures to create certain effects. Is this even possible with a digital camera? I would guess the answer is no, but I'm hoping there will be a way I can do this.

DMC-FZ10 and an external flash with a manual trigger can do it. Just set a high aperture number, slow shutter speed, take the pictures...change camera direction a little..then as soon as you can, re-trigger the flash manually. ... Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ20 Digital Camera

I have a Nikon D200 I have been using in high school football stadiums shooting football, using a Nikkor 2.8 180 ED lens. I have a D300 with a 4gig card. Takes 366 images at 12 megapixels. Using CH mode and taking lots of exposures of a couple of subjects plus single exposures the control panel tells me after a total of 212 exposures I have 250 exposures left. Is this normal? or is there a software problem? John Auckram

Unless I'm mistaken, does the camera take the full 12MP when shooting in CH mode? I don't think so and that would explain why you still have 250 exposures left. ... Digital Cameras

I would like to find a video camera that will allow me to freeze frames and get a single image from the video. I take animal pictures and using a regular camera is frustrating. If I could get 10 seconds of video, then take out a single image for a picture, it would help. I do not need more than 1 megaPixel quality. Thanks for the help

White Screen Hi Just like JayJay reported on 26 Jul 2006, my S5000 went white screen yesterday after previously behaving ok. I've tried all modes from AF to Manual. Like JJ I can view previous frames which view OK. I've changed batteries, tried to balance exposure. In Appature mode the reading is 2000 f8 and will not vary. Hopefully someone out there can offer a solution ? lenk

I'm trying to shoot HDR photos using my XSi/450D. From the menu two I've set the AEB EV step range as 0, -2 and 2. From here, though, I don't know what to do. If I go directly from the menu to shooting, I don't get any automatic shots, but rather single, individual shots based on the current exposure settings. Help. I've scanned my 45D manual, DVD tutorial, etc. and cannot find my missing step to create a series of AEB shots. Many Thanks, Robert

My 6 month-old Nikon D90 has been acting-up for quite some time. I take ALL my pictures at LARGE size, as they may end up in competitions or exhibition. However, without warning, the size changes occasionally to SMALL or MEDIUM, often twice, or more, in the one day. I only discover this when I notice the number of frames left has doubled or more. I had the same problem with my previous camera, a D70, which I eventually gave away to a friend.

My Nikon D40x won't auto-focus. When I press down the shutter button, it won't do anything at all. If I switch to manual and back to auto, it works for 2-3 shots, and stops working again. If change shooting modes from single to timer and back, it might work for a couple shots. I have not been able to find any other solutions. Any suggestions?

I have a 2-3 year old D60. I did a 5-minute exposure of the night sky to catch the motion of the stars. There is a faint double line going across part of the photo. The lines each have small dots at uniform intervals that you can see when enlarging. One person said it might be a bad sensor. Maybe the aliens really have arrived! Haven't had any other problems such as this or noticed anything on any other photos. Suggestions?

Dark exposure I have a Nkon D40x. Setting the selector to Auto, Shutter or Appature(SP) the image comes out dark. I have a Nikon D40x. Camera works fine, but sometimes it does not shoot a picture when shutter is depressed. It will just beep and shutter will not go. This very frustrating as I've lost many shots. Usually a re-framing/re-focus will fix it. Is there a setting to avoid this? Thanks.
