I received the HP CB350 digital camera for Christmas and I havn't been able to use it! The flash does not work. I've tried reading the manual, new batteries, and changing the flash to all the time and nothing works. When I take a picture, the flash makes a crackling noise, but does not flash. Uneven flash Hi, my Nikon d40x has a problem with its flash when I rotate it, for example, to take a picture of someone standing. Only the left side of the frame illuminates, and the right side of the picture is dark. However, when I use the camera horizontally, the flash works fine and illuminates evenly. What am I doing wrong?

Look carefully at your images taken with flash... on the horizontal image is the lower part of the image slighty darker and have a rounded fall off at the edges? Flash When I take pictures, all of the faces are completely whited out. It's like the flash is too bright but when I adjust the flash, then it's too dark. I'm sort of confused as to what to do. I would love to be able to use the flash without whiting out all the faces and bleaching out the background. I've tried adjusting the brightness and the flash but that doesn't work. Is there anything else I'm doing wrong?

I rally dont know, i personally always keep my flash on auto and keep the brightness auto or 50%. if this is the case, then i strongly recommend contacting Sony and asking them for a solution, or taking it down to the store you purchased it from and ... Sony Cybershot S650 Digital Camera

Canon sd900 I seldom use my canon sd900 and I usually take pictures without using the flash. But I recently noticed that my hands should be very very steady, just a slight movement will cause the picture to be blurry or unclear. I usually don?t use the flash because it gives a darker background with your face too white from the flash. And my problem arises when I would request other people to take my picture because 90% don?t have a steady hand thus giving me a blurry picture.

Try a higher ISO speed (suggest 400). Look in your camera's instruction book to find out how to do this. ... Digital Cameras

I have a Canon EOS 40D camera. We are having problems with using an external flash. The pictures always come out extremely dark with the external flash. The flash seems to work fine, it flashes brightly. The pictures look fine using the built in flash. The flash is a Promaster but we tried a Canon flash and it did the same thing. I have had a Nikon CoolPix L110 for 10 months. I've never encountered a problem transferring pictures from my camera to my computer during this time...until now. When I connect my camera using the USB cable, Nikon Transfer opens as usual, but nothing happens after that. The source is not showing the camera. The camera works fine. I can view and take pictures. However, the difference this time is that my camera is full. Could that have something to do with it? I would like to be able to

AF problem Last week I took some pics that needed the flash turned off. I did that and took the pics with no problem. I turned the flash setting back to "auto" afterwards. (this may not be related to the current problem but does seem too much of a coincidence). Next time I went to use the camera, I got an AF(red dot) and a red hand on the screen. It would take one picture and then would be frozen (no zoom, no picture taking, but the screen would stay on). If I turn it back on I can then ta

I first experienced a problem with my Canon S2Is camera when it was only taking pictures of blank images. I found a "fix" recommendation which seems to have gotten rid of the black image problem. However, now when I take pictures the images seem to have horizonal lines through them if I don't use the flash. Also, if I am taking a picture outside or in a lot of light, the image ends up being extremely light. Have any suggestions?
