I found a Quantaray 55-52 mm step down ring (Manufacture # 241664614) on Wolf Camera's website that I am interested in purchasing, but want to make sure it would work for me. I have some close up lenses (Hoya) for my old Canon SLR film camera (55mm) and was hoping I could use those lenses on my newer Nikon DSLR (52mm) camera. Would the step down ring make it possible to attach and use my old camera's close up lenses on my new DSLR camera? Thanks, Jerry
No. The 55-52mm step-down ring will let you attach a 52mm attachment onto a lens with a 55mm thread. You want a 52-55mm step-up ring. ... Digital Cameras

Am I loosing my mind?? My Nikon D80 no longer displays an image while I'm composing a picture. It definitely did..I was in the middle of composing and it just shut off. It displays in playback & after the picture is taken but no longer while composing. I've had this camera for over a year & use it frequently. I took it to a camera shop and they said the d80 does not show "live view" & I must be mistaking it for d90. I definitely have the d80.
You're not nuts. I saw a guy activate live view on the d80 while doing a demonstration on a Youtube tutorial. I just can't seem to find the video nor how to activate Live View on my camera. I think I'll try contacting Nikon directly ... Digital Cameras

Blurred pictures I started using my new Nikon Coolpix on Christmas Eve and have taken photos for about 2 weeks. More than half of the pictures are very blurry after I transferred them to my computer and enlarged them to view. My daughter also got a Canon Elph on the same day and her photo quality is much much better. I also own a Nikon D5000 and have always been very happy with the quality, thus my choice of a Nikon pocket camera. Have I made a mistake?

Poor focus I am using the Nikon d80 with a Sigma 24-70 mm lens. I am not satisfied with the crispness of the photos. I have tried shutter speeds of 1/500 and higher, using a tripod, and using shutter delay to get better clarity and sharp focus, but none has worked. The quality is not as good as my 2 meg Sony! Is this to be expected from the 10 meg cameras? thanks! [email protected]

I just purchased a Power Shot sx200is. I will be taking pictures this evening where most of the subjects are African American. They will be getting awards and the person giving the awards is Irish American and very light skinned. This will take place in a room that is well lit with florescent lighting. In the past I have had success shooting this combination with a Nikon camera using the night snapshot mode. But this is the first time I will be using the Canon. Any tips you can give me.

The viewfinder of my Nikon D80 is grayish and blurry when it's off. I cant see a thing when I tried to use my 18-135 mm lens. I don't have a battery to reset it to its factory default settings. Do you think there's something wrong with the camera or the viewfinder is always blurry and grayish when it's off. I have owned D40 earlier and I could play around with the viewfinder even when the camera was off.

Compare the Nikon d80 to the new d90. Can I use all my manual focus lenses from my Nikon film cameras? Also, all my filters and flashes.
All old lenses will work on the D90 the same way they work on the D80. Filters depend on the lens -- they either fit or they don't -- the camera has nothing to do with that. I wouldn't use old flashes on new DSLRs.There really is no diffe ... Nikon Digital Cameras

Downloading problem I bought a Nikon D80 in November of 2007 and it has been operating fine since. However today I tried to download some pictures onto my computer using Photoshop Elements 4.0.
