Having problems with your Nikon Digital Cameras ?

I have a d80 and I have two problems: 1) I can't get the monitor to work while I am taking the picture, I can only review it. 2)Whenever I take the aperture out of the locked position of 22, the aperture reading on the control panel blinks: F EE, and the remaining exposures reading changes from exposures remaining to: r11. Please help.

Answers :

1) The D80 does not have a Live View capability, you must use the viewfinder. The display is for menus and reviews.

2) Leave the lens locked at the smallest aperture (highest number). Change the aperture using the command wheels.

The r11 is not an error, it's simply an indication of how many more pics you can take in a burst before the buffer fills.

I have copied and pasted someone elses problem, because it is the same one I am having. So if I want to use the aperture for taking Manual photos I cannot do this because when it goes off of F22, it reads FEE, error. "I have nikon d80 with the fEE error code blinking... I know this means that the aperture is not locked at the 22 but it will not allow me to change the aperture settings. Please help us!!!"

Lock the aperture ring at its smallest opening (in this case, F22). Change the aperture setting by turning the subcommand dial (the one in front, unless you changed it in the setup menu).Of course, you can only change the aperture directl ... Nikon D80 Digital Camera with 28-80mm Lens

You don't say whether this is a new card or one you used before. I'm going to assume this is a new card (otherwise, it means the card has become corrupted or there is a camera fault). You say it is an SD card, but don't mention the capacit ... Nikon Coolpix S203 Digital Camera

External Flash I set my Epson 3100z camera to manual mode and set up the camera for external flash. I manually set the shutter speed to 1/60 sec and the aperture to F4. I also set my SunPak flash to F4. My exposures seem pretty good. However when I review the various photo info's, the aperture reading is F5 or F4.8 not the F4 I set. Why is this? Anyone experienced this? The shutter speed are also not always what I set on the camera.

Hi I am getting an erro message "r33" in the "number of exposures remaining box" - when the message comes up I cannot take a photo - its like the camera is locked. any ideas? also, sometimes the r33 message comes up and it does let me take the picture. so maybe the camera locking issue is not related top the r33 message? Hi, I have a two year old Canon PowerShot SX1. Recently began to think my shutter speeds have been on the low side, based on ISO, aperture, and general lighting conditions outside. Went out and purchased a Canon PowerShot SX130 just to compare. Took about 25 shots with each, same subjects each time, same settings, same position, about 15 seconds apart. Discovered that, on average, the SX130's shutter speeds were over 3 times higher than the SX1 for proper exposures. For instance, at ISO 100

You may be right, from the details and data you've provided. Unfortunately, you would probably have to pay a service charge to prove it, and they would most likely replace the main board, and charge accordingly. I, myself, would just adjust to t ... Canon PowerShot SX1 IS Digital Camera

Cannon SD1100 IS Digital Camera The Camera reads " Card Locked". The Maual's solution is to slide the switch up on the memory card. Did that still won't work. When I go to the Menu, the cursor will just bypass the "erase" and will light up below the erase display. Have never had this happen. I was trying to erase a movie, and this locked up. Tried another "card" the camera still reads "card locked". It has to be something in the camera. Thanks for your help.

There are several possible causes for "memory card locked", "memory card error", or "no memory card". The most common is trying to use a 4GB or higher SDHC card with an older camera made before SDHC format came out. Other causes include problems with ... Canon PowerShot SD1100 IS Digital Camera

My camera is locking my memory card. I slide the lever on the memory card to unlocked, which is down, and when i insert it in the phone and push it down to lock it in, it pushes the 'lock' on the memory card back up to the locked position, resulting in the camera constantly saying the memory card is locked. On my d90, under M (manual mode or aperture priority), the aperture on the readout goes beyond the actual aperture range; i.e. f3.5 - 5.6; readings will show aperture range of 5 - 29 when I scroll with the sub command dial; sometimes when i remove the battery it returns to normal; how can i fix this problem permanently?

There is NOT a problem. The f3.5-5.6 indicates the maximum aperture in the zoom range. At 18mm the maximum aperture is f3.5, at 105mm it's f5.6. The minimum aperture ranges from f22 to f38.\012\012\012So, at 18mm, the aperture can range f ... Nikon D90 Digital Camera with 18-105mm lens
