Having problems with your Nikon Digital Cameras ?

Compare the Nikon d80 to the new d90. Can I use all my manual focus lenses from my Nikon film cameras? Also, all my filters and flashes.

Answers :

All old lenses will work on the D90 the same way they work on the D80. Filters depend on the lens -- they either fit or they don't -- the camera has nothing to do with that. I wouldn't use old flashes on new DSLRs.

There really is no difference between the D80 and the D90 as far as lenses and flashes are concerned.

My Vivitar Series 1 24-70 manual focus ais lens won't work on program in my Nikon FA. I bought both new, but have stored them for a long time. It works on aperture priority, shutter priority, and manual, just not in program. All my other lenses do, including other Vivitar lenses, so it must be the lens. Fresh batteries in the camera. I get the FEE message, which means the lens is not set on the smallest aperture, but it IS set on the smallest aperture. I have tried dismounting and remounti

Focus problems I have 2 digital cameras already so I know to hold the button down 1/2 way for focusing. The Nikon is new. I HATE manuals. I am having trouble focusing on close up shots. They are either real blurry or slightly out of focus. It seems the shutter speed is so slow that any movement of my hand ruins the shot. I can take a shot of something, a plant for instance, pulled in fairly close. One shot may be ok and the next one is blurry

There are two likely reasons for the blurry pictures. One possibility is, as you surmised, a slow shutter speed. Try mounting the camera on a tripod or other stable support. You might also try turning on the flash. The other reason is focu ... Digital Cameras

I found a Quantaray 55-52 mm step down ring (Manufacture # 241664614) on Wolf Camera's website that I am interested in purchasing, but want to make sure it would work for me. I have some close up lenses (Hoya) for my old Canon SLR film camera (55mm) and was hoping I could use those lenses on my newer Nikon DSLR (52mm) camera. Would the step down ring make it possible to attach and use my old camera's close up lenses on my new DSLR camera? Thanks, Jerry

No. The 55-52mm step-down ring will let you attach a 52mm attachment onto a lens with a 55mm thread. You want a 52-55mm step-up ring. ... Digital Cameras

I've got an A-75 digital (Canon) When pushing down on the shutter button, the orange light is on next to the viewing window. It will not take a photograph and the flash does not work. I looked through the manual and it said something about the flash charge. When I attempt to take a photo the image has green squares throughout the viewing screen as if they are focusing screens. I also tried to reformat the camera with the new memory card. NO Luck. Any suggestions?

This has nothing to do with the camera, but instead it has to do with the lens you are using. The standard lens you are using has an aperture of f/4.5 which is common across many lenses. If you wish to shoot in low light you need a lower "f-stop". ... Nikon D90 Digital Camera with 18-105mm lens
