This is a mind bender, While doing a shoot using monolights connected to a Nikon D1x I encountered exposure problems. After the lights were metered for the best exposure, I started shooting. The first ten or so shots were fine, and all of a sudden the next ten shots looked like they were 8 stops over, and then it went to looking ok. The first thing I did was switch monolights thinking there was a problem with the flash, this did not resolve the issue. Next I switched camera bodies, still the int

Error 99 I took pics yesterday-no problems.Today during a shoot I got the error 99 after shooting several pics. At home I removed, even switched to a different battery and the problem continues. It will shoot a few frames and error out and it doesn't seem to matter which setting is used.

First, I am a 1st class amateur, so jargon is ?Greek? to me. However, I am studying the manual dilligently. My question concerns the batteries. I am using Panasonic Heavy Duty AA?s. I am always very quickly getting the message ?Battery empty.?, even when I have just changed batteries. Or there?s always that flashing battery icon on screen, shortly followed by the ?battery empty? screen. Why? I am not using zoom. No repeated shooting. Monitor not left on. Not connected to a computer. MF is not on

Using my Canon XSi/450D, I'm interested in doing High Dynamic Range photography. But I can't discover how to make the automated shutter-speed range multi-shot (3 for the 450D) AEB work. I've gone into the menu and select and change the AEB range ( -2V) and pressed "set." Working from the "AV" in creative mode, I then set up my first shot with focus and ISO, and shoot. Now what? When I press the shoot button, an ordinary photo is captured, and if I continue to press the button additional cap

Wavy lines I have a first year digital rebel using the 18-55mm lense that came with it. Whenever I shoot a photo of a home, the siding and the roof lines are wavy. Also when taking interior photos, using the pop up flast, my pictures seem to turn out a little dark.

For the wavy problems, try eliminating camera processsing by taking the photos in raw format and viewing them with photoshop or some other photo software. If the waves are gone, it's the processing/compression algorithims on the camera. For pop-ups ... Canon Digital Rebel / EOS-300D Digital Camera with EF-S 18-55mm Lens

I HAVE A GR2 DIGITAL CAMERA. I usually shoot in manual mode and and set white balance manually using a digital callabration target. Yesterday afternoon, after shooting most of theday without problems, my images started appearing completely washed out with an orange cast. This cast also was all over my calibration target image. The image was unclear with stripes running horizontally across my display. This problem is present in all modes. Itried everything I could think of to resolve the matter

I am using an Olympus E-500. and am trying to use the built in flash, set to one eight or to one sixty fourth of normal output, to trigger an external flash unit. The camera is set to "Vivid", manual, auto focus, and iso 100. From the "manual flash" menu I should be able to select either full, 1/4. 1/16 or 1/64 of the output. However, those choices never light up. I keep cycling through the first two lines of the menu and never reach the third line with the light output options I want. P

Fairly brand new (less than 6 months old) Canon rebel xti - shooting in manual mode, then it gives a low battery message. I switch the battery and nothing. I was shooting a wedding with it last week and sometimes it would do this and sometimes it was OK. Sometimes it would shoot three or four consequetive pictures. Only turning it off and then back on would start it again. Sometimes even this did not work for more than ten seconds Is this a fault? Why does it only happen sometimes? I'm not sure if it do

I just purchased a Power Shot sx200is. I will be taking pictures this evening where most of the subjects are African American. Viewfinder I just got my *ist DS Monday, and this is my first DSLR. I have a general question, which I hope you guys can help me with. The image framing from the viewfinder is significantly different from the finished photo. The finished product always has a wider angle of view from what I am seeing while framing the shot. At the widest setting, there isn't much difference. At full zoom with an attached Nikon 6t, the object I am shooting is large in the view finder, but it appears half sized

Viewfinder magnification has nothing to do with this. \015\012It's a framing accuracy, viewfinder coverage issue. \015\012\015\012\015\012Viewfinder magnification has to do with how large the focusing/framing field appears, optically, to your eye. Pe ... Pentax *ist DS Digital Camera

When shooting indoors with my 300d (base rebel digital),I have been encountering some light metering problems.I use the 430ex as an external flash. While shooting a subject in front of an external light source-(window, etc.), no matter how small of the frame area include the outside light source, the cameras light meter will invaribly expose the entire image based on the outside ambient light, causing the image to be grossly underexposed. Do you have an explanation/solution for this aggrivating

Set the metering mode to Partial Metering. This uses only 9% of the field of view, centered around the middle square in the viewfinder, as the subject area. If you still find it too bright, try changing the exposure compensation a couple of clicks. ... Canon Digital Cameras
