Blown highlights with D90 body and nikkor lens

\015 I have bought my D90 body only and i am using the 35mm F1.8 Nikkor lens with it. I have a problem with highlights that is blown out a lot , someone i know shoots with the same lens and the D300 body and there is a day and night difference in the exposure .The d300 captures the light correctly but the highlights are blown out on the d90's shots . I done a shot yesterday in the shade under a tree and aperture and shutter priority and manual on girl with a white dress .seems to be very overexposed when i try a depth of field like f5.6 or lower .The shots was done in the middle of the day.i had to shoot f11 or up for highlights not to be burned. Can you please tell me what is the cause of this.the same day i done a shot of grass on a farm in the morning at about 9am , no light was shining in the lens f4 or 5.6 in aperture priority and lost contrast and burned highlights occurred.\015

But when I connected the new one (Nikkor 75-300 mm) in my camera and took some pictures, after that I couldn't take more because it has F33 Error. I changed the Lens Kit that error disappeared. I have a Nikon D90 with 18-105 mm lens. Lately, the onboard flash has not been firing even when I try to enforce it by having the flash popped up. It will only fire if I do one of the following: 1) unmount the lens from the camera body and then re-mount it back on, which the flash will fire maybe once or twice and that's it!, or 2) switch on a different lens which definitely works with the flash firing every single time. What needs to be done? I purchased this lens last December (2009). Is

Sounds like a dodgy electrical contact, possibly between the lens mount and the camera body. The lens ought to still be in warranty, but that would depend on what warranty the manufacturer or seller offer in your part of the world (in the UK, the sel ... Nikon D90 Digital Camera with 18-105mm lens

I have a Nikon D50 which I frequently interchanges lenses. My AF-S Nikkor 18-55mm lens has 3 plastic retention flanges attaching to the camera body, and two of these have broken off. Can this be repaired without me having to be without the lens for a long time? (Either by me or a local repair service?)

Without seeing pictures, I'd say you could TRY some plastic epoxy or some type of plastic-specific adhesive. i'm assuming you have the pieces that were broken off. otherwise, i'd say get a new lens...they are relatively reasonable used. ... I have a new (Dec., 2009) D90. This morning I discovered that I had an "Err" message and a "CHA" message. Both were on the LCD panel on the top of the camera. I was not able to turn the camera off, and the only way to turn it off was to take out the battery. Upon reinserting the battery, everything appeared normal, but after taking one shot the problem reappeared. The interesting thing was that I took the camera body to a Nikon certified shop in New York, and they tried it with a different lens,
