Having problems with your Nikon SLR D80 Digital SLR Camera Digital Camera ?

I have a nikon d80. shooting with a sb-600.. the flash is stuck. i can't take it off the shoe.. if the pins are jammed with the contact, how can i release them to remove the lens

Answers :

There is only one pin that engages the shoe - the rest are simply pressure contacts. The pin that engages the shoe is strictly for locking the flash to the show, and is operated by the lever on the back of the flash - directly above the shoe.

Look closely at this area to find the lever. Slide it fully away from the "LOCK" position. This causes the pin to retract from engaging the hole in the shoe and return into the flash. Simply slide the flash towards the rear of the camera to remove.

I hope this was helpful to you.

Trouble focusing I am using my D60 with a 18-55mm lens, i have it set on auto its been working fine until recently when it is unable able to focus when i press on the release button. All that seems to happen is the lens keep going in and out where it is trying to focus. I have removed the lens and checked the contact but its still not working help!!!

Not too many things that can do this are simple, but here are a few you can check. First, make sure you aren't too close for the lens to focus. For the 18-55, that's only about 5" from the front of the lens, so I doubt this is the problem. \ ... Nikon D60 Digital Camera

Canon EOS Rebel XT with EFS 18-55mm lens. Trouble-free for two years. During a weekend of lots of use, suddenly the camera would not autofocus. Switching to manual focus, the camera worked. Then it started working okay in autofocus. Later that day quit altogether. (Would not release shutter even in manual mode.) Removed the lens and cleaned the contacts on both lens and camera, started working okay but only temporary. Went through several cycles of this over the weekend, so I'm not sure

As far as I can read in the manual there is not any error code r05 and r06. My guess is you are seeing that in the LCD on top of the camera. Turn to page 36 in the D80 manual there you is what you are after. The r05 and r06 are the number of shots re ... Nikon D80 Digital Camera with 18-135mm Lens

I have a Nikon D80 with a 18-135mm lens. I recently got an F-- where the aperture should appear. The error message in the manual says that "No lens attached." I tried detaching and reattaching the lens numerous times. I also tried cleaning the contacts to no avail. The only mode that the shutter will release in is the Manual mode. While in the M mode I couldn't adjust the aperture.

For Christmas this year, a friend gave me a Kodak EasyShare M753 7 mp 3x optical zoom. I have the use of only hand and I dropped the camera on my desk(about 1-2 feet). One side of the lens jammed and would not release and would not take pictures. I kept fooling with it and the black bars in the lens came out. I would think it needs a new lens. Could you tell me how I would go about getting it fixed and the approximate time and cost would this involve.
