Having problems with your Olympus Camedia C-350 Digital Camera ?

Re: Olympus Camedia D-560 Digital Camera When I

\015 Re: Olympus Camedia D-560 Digital Camera\015\012\015\012When I go to download photos from my camera to my PC--my camera is linked by cable to the computer, usually a screen comes up on the camera that offers a PC Connection choice. What is coming up currently is: "Card Setup. with two choices of either Power OFF or Format." If I choose off, camera goes off. If I choose Format, I expect I will loose photos on the camera. Is there something I can do to download the photos from the camera?\015

Answers :

Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.\012\012\012

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program.
