I have the Canon Rebel XTi. I am getting a message the CF card has a problem. I am able to put card in computer and it opens the files that are on the card. The camera screen shows a blank space where the photo count should be. I have cleaned the connectors on the body of the camera and the lense. The camera is maybe 1 1/2 years old and I have taken maybe 10,000 photos. could the card need to be replaced? or could it be the camera itself :<(

Now neither card works and when I try to download the photos it asks me if I want to format the card. I assume that if I say "yes" and do format it, that it will erase all my photos. Is that correct? So, I am wondering if I could bring my card over to you and have you download it on to a thumb drive so that I can save the photos on
