I have a canon rebel xsi that is not taking pictures on auto focus. It will take pictures on manual focus, but they're blurry. I changed my lens to a bigger one to see if it was the lens or camera, and it's the camera. I had the same problem with the other lens. I've tried cleaning it & turning the lens focus ring but is still doing it. Anyone know how to fix this problem?

All of a sudden every picture I take with the 55-200 zoom lens is blurry and slightly out of focus. Pictures with the 18-55 lens are still sharp. I have been using that 55-200 lens for years for sports shots, and have never had any problem. I get the same blurriness shooting in both the auto sports setting and in shutter priority. It is a brand new issue. Could it be the AF servos starting to go in the lens, or am I doing something stupid?

Simplest answer is that you may have accidentally flipped the focus switch (A/M) on the lens to M. This turns off autofocus for that lens (which you might need to do if autofocus just can't resolve the image). Try turning it back to A.Ano ... Nikon D40x Digital Camera

Focus There is one problem that I have with this camera - Auto Focus in low lighting and it has really limited manual focus. Outdoors this camera is outstanding, I haven't found any pitfalls outdoors yet. 10x optical zoom plus 2.5" LCD WOW. Although the LCD is littly choppy, but I don't care about that, pictures turn out really gooood. Anyways back to Auto Focus problem. Do any of you have the same problem? Or this is my ability problem? That limited manual focus really bugs me! I'd like to hear

I have a Canon Rebel XS that I just purchased a month ago. I have taken very good care of it. I took several pictures yesterday, but when I turned it in this morning it wouldn't take a picture. It flashes rapidly, but won't focus. The only setting I ever use is the auto focus setting, and I've checked to make sure it was still set, but still it won't take a picture. I am out of town and I don't have my manual, so I can't troubleshot on my own. :( Can you help?

Hi, I've a Sigma 28-105mm aspherical 3.5-5.6 lens. Auto focus does not engage. I can hear the motor trying, but the ring does not turn. Additionally, sometimes the shutter will not fire in manual focus while the motor is still searching. I've cleaned the contacts, but no joy. I suspect a faulty switch, but that doesn't completely explain the autofocus not engaging. I am

My Nikon D5000 gives out blurry pictures and the auto focus sometimes does not work. I've sent the lens to be examined & repaired and today I tested it again after being repaired. Today I took a picture of a person standing in front of a wooden fence and instead of focusing on the person (which was my intention), the camera focused on the fence. The result: The fence is sharp but the person is blurry. What causes this? Is it the lens or the body? How can I solve these problems?

The camera is on auto focus and it is set to the shoot and click setting (little green camera). It didn't get wet at all.
