Having problems with your Olympus FE-280 Digital Camera ?

Blurry lenses Same problem exactly. I'm not sure what happened (maybe sand in the camera?) The camera now turns off to a black screen, If I push the botton to see ast pictures, the screen works again and lets me see through them. But If I go back to "take picture mode", the image they give me is all blurry and if I try to use the zoom, the camera turns off.

This sounds like you have gotten some kind of contamination inside the camera, it is blurry because the lens can't move to focus the image in a smooth manner, it is sticking. U can try taking this apart but based on my experience this is best left to a camera repair shop, there are lots of tiny parts and hidden screws, you can do more damage if you don't understand how it all goes back together, taking it apart is not easy, putting it back right is almost impossible for a DIYer.
Check if you got any leaks in side of the camera,if yo mean the SANDS inside, camera is very delicate one,and when it comes to lens we should handle it very cautiously,if there is a sand inside it you cannot clean it by yourself because every electronic part inside the camera is small and delicate so best is to give to service engineer.

here i listed out the problem.

  1. When the camera won't turn on, check the batteries. Connect\015\012camera to an AC adapter. Remove all batteries, disconnect AC adapter,\015\012wait a minute, reinsert batteries and reconnect adapter. Turn on\015\012camera. If the camera gets wet, turn it off if it's on. Remove all\015\012batteries and media. Let it dry completely for at least 24 hours before\015\012reinserting batteries.

The LCD is the biggest power drain on\015\012your camera. Use only heavy-duty batteries (look for ones that say\015\012they're suited to digital cameras). Ordinary alkalines won't cut it.\015\012Look into upgrading to rechargeable NiMH batteries. If you have or can\015\012get an AC adapter for your camera, always use it when downloading\015\012photos directly to your computer. If your camera uses PC Cards or\015\012SmartMedia cards, get a card reader that will connect to your computer.\015\012This will save battery life and improve data-transfer speed. If problem\015\012occurs during very cold conditions, warm the batteries in your pocket\015\012or hand just before inserting them into the camera and shooting.

Check with the camera\015\012manufacturer (try its Web site) to make sure you have the latest\015\012version of the necessary software drivers. If your camera connects via\015\012a serial (COM) port, check for serial-port conflicts. If you're using a\015\012FireWire cable to connect to the computer, turn the computer on, turn\015\012the camera on and then connect the cable between the two. Don't turn\015\012off the camera while the cable is still attached. If the camera won't\015\012recognize the media, make sure media is inserted correctly (this isn't\015\012always obvious with SmartMedia, for instance). Make sure media hasn't\015\012been write-protected.

Negative effect. I've had my Canon Powershot S3 1S for over a year now. The other day I was taking pictures and it was working fine. I turn it off and set it down. I come back later, turn it on again and the screen shows has white lines that keep flicking over it. I turn it off and take the batteries out. Later I put the batteries back in, turn it on, and find that it is in negative effect. I'm pretty sure that my camera can't do this naturally and I've tried everything to see if I could get it
