Having problems with your Olympus FE-340 Digital Camera ?

Little red dots in shooting modes

\015 I Just discovered 2 little tiny 1-2 pixel sized red dots on my screen during shooting modes (all of them)and the really weird thing is that the dots are stationary during optical zoom, but once the digital zoom takes over, the dots are enlarged and move with the "Zooming"... they are not appearing on the pictures in review mode (Phew!) but are annoying when trying to take a pic. i have not dropped my camera or damaged it in anyway...so i am baffled. The guy i called at the extended warranty company told me it may be a software issue, but the manufacturer is closed until Monday... any ideas?\015

I have a rebel xt 350D , using 75-300mm 5.6f lens to do some girls basketball photography inside a gym. Had camera set on: ISO 1600, M mode, 5.6f, 200 shutter speed (that seem to set automatically), used built in flash, Exposure level was in the middle of the chart, auto focus, al servo, continuous shooting, used awb. Got pretty good freeze action shots, with little or no blurring but the photos were dark. Some I could make lighter with photoshop but lost some detail and the contrast was too muc

Unless you were up close and personal, the built-in flash was your problem. Anything past about 15 feet and your picture will be dark. You would have been better off turning the flash off and using available light. Once the flash is off, you can set ... Digital Cameras

I am using Canon 1000D dslr for more than 18months, it was working fine until last Sunday. I went outside and started taking few shots... it was not focusing properly (or should I say not at all!) and pictures are coming blurred. When I press the shutter button half, it should run the motor (in autofocus mode) and focus, but it is not doing anything (i.e. no red dots are coming)... what could be the problem? Thanks for any help.................

The autofocus motor could be be broken, or the lens may not be communicating correctly with the camera. One thing that can help if it's not communicating correctly is to clean the lens contacts. When my camera is on and in the shooting mode, there is a little yellow camera with an explanation point with 2 squiggly lines on each side of the camera, showing on the right side of the screen

My AF point aperture (the red dot one) looks like a little bit blurry after i try to clean the lens in the camera body. how can this happen?

When I switch the camera on the screen stays blank even though the lens comes out, it eventually goes off (with the lens still out after about 40 seconds). I can get the camera to work if I press the green "view" key and then, after the picture appears, press the red camera icon and it will go into auto shoot mode. Happens every time now. Taking pics I just got a Nikon D40 camera and I can't seem to figure out how to view on the screen what I'm looking at when I'm trying to take a picture. I can view them in play mode after the fact, but isn't there a way to see on the screen instead of having to look through the little window to see what I'm shooting? Thanks in advance for any help!!!

That's because the Nikon D40 does not have Live View. Up until a couple of years ago, no DSLR's had live preview, due to the design of a DSLR over a point and shoot, as it has a pentamirror arrangement that effectivly deflects the light path to the v ... Nikon D40 Body Only Digital Camera

Focus malfunction I have been shooting with my D70 for a little over a year now with absolutely no problems. I shot with it last weekend with no problems. However, yesterady when I took my camera out to use it I realized that my autofocus single area option won't let me change from one focus area point to another. It is stuck on the center focus area. Even stranger when I tested the autofocus on the closest subject mode it is capable of locking on each of the five focus points. Does anybody know

Just purchased a canon A590. on page 84 of user guide, continuous shooting is described. I'm somewhat familiar with SD cards, but Canon implies that I have to use their MSH type SD card to use the continuous shooting feature. When I look at the drive modes in my camera, I only see 4 possible modes....single pic, 10 sec delay, 2 second delay, and delay continuous. There is an icon for continuous shooting in the book, but it does not appear on my camera. Why?

I don't own an A590 but I've been handling cameras since the Kodak Instamatic days, so I'll try to help you. I checked out the Canon website for the A590. and they don't specifically state the MSH type SD card. The camera can do 1.4 fps or frames p ... Canon Digital Cameras
