Having problems with your Olympus SP800UZ Digital Camera ?

I have an SP800UZ. I have upgraded my computer to a Windows 7 machine with 64-bit. Now I can only get pictures off of my camera if there are only a few. If I have too many (I am not sure what the max is), then the system quits reading the camera, and the camera displays says, "Disconnected." I've tried this on 3 different Win7 machines with the same results, but it still works fine on my XP system. Also, the files are read very slowly on the camera on the Win7 machines yet the old XP system read

Answers :

Please, install the Olympus ib program which originally is on the internal memory of the camera, or install the better and free Olympus Viewer program. It will automatically install the needed driver for the camera. I use the latter program on my notebook and pc and both are using Windows 7 (64bit) and it works splendid with the Olympus SP800uz.

Battery life My AA 3000mah batteries don't last 30 mins before the camera switches itself off, indicating that the batteries are flat. When tested on a multimeter they read 1.24volts. The manual say I should get 300 shots using 2500mah batteries. The batteries have been discharged and charged up many times but still the same problem. I'm using Nimh type batteries that read 1.35v full charge and 1.24v when the camera shuts off. Is this a common fault with this camera ?
