I have copied the photographs from the 4 Gb memory card to the computer (170 picture) but now when I insert the memory card back into the camera I receive the message "No valid picture to play" and can only take a photo to built-in memory. The card and camera are new, this is my first attempt to copy pictures to the computer. I think I can reformat the card but will lose the pictures already there, will this get rid of the problem? I used to be able to take 1000+ pictures on external memory card. Now I'm trying to take pictures and it will only allow me to take 9 pictures but on the camera memory.
