I have a Panasonic PVGS19 Mini DV Camcorder. The problem is the flip screen. Will not work when fully open. There is a picture when it is opened at about 1/4 of the way. Also, when opened and flipped over ( self portrait mode) and closed the image is upside down. Thinking it is a mechanical connection between the camera and the LCD that either need some cleaning or repair. Can I do this myself? Not cost affective to have repaired by service, I am sure. I have a Panasonic camcorder NV-GS70B which writes to mini DV tapes. I am now finding that on playback of tapes I have recorded it is losing the audio signal on some tapes. Some of these tapes I know originally had an audio signal recorded. Someone has suggested there may be a build up of oxide on the heads which might have been transferred to some of the tapes. I have tried a head cleaning tape (twice) but without effect. I have two concerns: 1) the camera - can it easily be repaired 2)

It seems like your carriage unit needs servicing.. basically the gears that load the tape and move the tape wheels have become worn.. You can attempt to repair this your self at the risk of rendering it useless. YOu can call a service center and let ... Digital Cameras

I have a problem with the Panasonic AJ-D200. The tape will not close. The symptom developed after I loaded a head cleaning cassette. I then loaded a normal tape and now it won't close. I then changed this tape drive for a spare drive. Powered up the camera and tried again. I loaded a head cleaning cassette. Then loaded a normal cassette and now this one won't close. The problem seems to be with this head cleaning cassette but I cannot risk using another spare tape deck. I cannot see the

Since I bought my HDR-HC1E in December 2005 I enjoyed really my camera, but since a few years now I have experienced so many times a warning about 'moist condensation' then I have to 'eject tape'. This just doesn't work for a long time. It is very tedious and I only found out by accident a way to overcome this problem is by ejecting the mini DV cassette (but keep the mini DV tape in the cassette holder), switching off the camera, remove the battery. Close the cassette holder and then slide in th

Samsung camcorder Hi, I have a samsung video camcorder model VP-D107i which has only been used several times. I needed to use it last week to video my husbands funeral service and after charging the battery the cam wouldn't turn on at all, won't eject the tape, won't do anything, it just ticks like a clock. I have many memories on the mini dv tapes that I can't see without it. Help me please!

Erratic shutdown of Panasonic ag dvc7 camcorder due to dew sensor malfunction. Have tried the obvious solution with hair dryer. Can periodically resolve by removing/replacing battery or by smacking the case. Makes me think it is a loose connection, but have no idea where to look for connection. Any way to disable this dew sensor or repair without sending back to factory?

Based on vibration (smacking the case) sometimes resolving, it seems like you're on track with the problem being a loose wire or solder connection. Other than going in and fixing that, there isn't much that can be done. There's no setpoint or menu ... Digital Cameras
