After doing these procedure, it is the same thing again. \015\012I notice when I turn OFF the flash option, the camera works and I can take pictures without the flash. Once, I turn back ON the flash, I doesn't do anything.\015\012Any idea what could be the problem with camera?\015\012Thanks in advance for any help you can provide! Vic\015
My TZ5 has developed exactly the same problem. I took it to DK Audio Services at Horley,Surrey,RH8 9GA. who repair cameras for Panasonic and was told by the receptionist that although the camera works with the flash off at present it will eventually pack up altogether. She suggested that when I get the quote I phone Panasonic on 08705 3577 357 to try and get them to pay for the repair, it seems it is a known problem! My camera is just over a year old!!
I have the same problem. You can us the flash selector to turn flash to 'forced flash off' and all other functions seem to work again. Maybe the flash bulb/tube in the camera is faulty. Has your camera had a lot of use?

The LCD on my DMC-TZ5 looks like someone ran the image through one of those turn-your-picture-into-a-cartoon filters. The problem is present in both record and review modes (and menus too), both for still pictures and video. It does not affect the actual pics/video once downloaded to the computer; it's just a problem with the LCD display. It developed this problem after I took it to a repair shop to fix a stuck lens shutter/cover thingy. Before I take it back and accuse them of screwing somet

AF problem Last week I took some pics that needed the flash turned off. I did that and took the pics with no problem. I turned the flash setting back to "auto" afterwards. It would take one picture and then would be frozen (no zoom, no picture taking, but the screen would stay on). If I turn it back on I can then ta

Canon sd900 I seldom use my canon sd900 and I usually take pictures without using the flash. But I recently noticed that my hands should be very very steady, just a slight movement will cause the picture to be blurry or unclear. I usually don?t use the flash because it gives a darker background with your face too white from the flash. And my problem arises when I would request other people to take my picture because 90% don?t have a steady hand thus giving me a blurry picture.
