I have two DMC-FX3 cameras with the exact same screen problem

\015 I have two DMC-FX3 cameras with the exact same problem, which makes me believe that maybe its a basic flaw in the durability of the hardware. More than a year ago, the first camera quit showing its screen display (everything else works normally, you just can't see anything). I live in The Philippines, and a friend brought this over from the USA as a gift. I had it taken to Manila to see if anyone there could solve the problem, and no one could. It was discovered that, when you hold the shell open, the screen works, but if you try to close the camera body, it shorts out again. My friend, who had upgraded to another camera, gave me a second DMC-FX3 that he had bought for himself. After more than a year of use, it is now doing exactly the same thing!I undid the screws, and held the back away about an 8th of an inch, and the screen works. Try to close it, the screen shuts off.The cameras have matching problems. Never dropped them or anything like that. This just happened, and I can't figure out why.\015

Answers :

There seem to be a loose connection between the LCD and the rest of the camera. When you open the shell open the connection completes, but when you close it the connection stretches and snaps. So, please visit the service center of the brand and get it checked and rectified.

Went on a 3-week trip with my SX120is and it performed flawlessly. Downloaded all pictures upon returning. Hadn't used camera for a couple of weeks when yesterday the screen started displaying a very low resolution frozen picture and the camera stoped responding to all the controls. After about 10 seconds, the camera turned off without retracting the lens. This problem keeps repeating, but not the exact same way every time. Sometimes the camera functions well for a minute or two before hang

A week ago I purchased a Canon Ixus 970 digital camera. When using in dark conditions yesterday, I noticed two bright blue dots on the LCD screen. I've switched the camara off and on again and have taken the battery out and replaced it again, but they are still there in exactly the same place. Is this normal for a digital camera? I've had a couple of cheapo's before but have never had this problem. So it seems a bit strange that I have these irritiating dots on a £200 camera. Shoul

My panasonic DMC ZS3 camera purchased on 12/14/09 has started showing vertical multicolored stripes on the viewing screen in all modes. The pictures captured by the camera do not display the same vertical stripes, which seems to indicate it is a problem that only affects the focusing screen. These stripes take up about 2/3 of the right side of the viewing screen. Do you know what might be affecting the problem? In addition the camera has never been dropped or mishandled in any way. Hi, I have two Cannon 40D Cameras and am experiencing problems with both at the moment. One Camera is very slow after pushing the button to take a photo. I have checked all of the batteries and this is not the problem. Screen problems My Olympus FE-4000 12 MP digital camera with 4X wide angle optical zoom was working fine until one afternoon when I went to take a picture. The camera was never dropped into water, or exposed to heavy outdoor elements. The problem is that the screen in general has some white patches and two large black patches over it so you can only see a small part of the image. My question to you is, what seems to be the problem, and how can it be fixed? There is no damage to the outer surface

Hi, I had a problem with a Sony video camera (HDR-CX6EK) in 2009. The problem then was that the LCD screen interferes when unfolding the screen and when the screen was unfold completely the voltage of the device fell away. Camera: Panasonic Lumix DMC-FT1 Problem: Camera is not saving photos Hi, my camera started responding very slugglishly yesterday. I took a few pictures, and some of them wouldn't save. If I tried to switch my camera off, the screen would freeze on the "Saving photos". I checked the SD card on my laptop and those photos were coming up as blanks. I formatted the card and the camera recognises it, but it's still not saving photos. When I try to view the photo I've just taken, the screen goes blank

Blurry lenses Same problem exactly. I'm not sure what happened (maybe sand in the camera?) The camera now turns off to a black screen, If I push the botton to see ast pictures, the screen works again and lets me see through them. But If I go back to "take picture mode", the image they give me is all blurry and if I try to use the zoom, the camera turns off.

Ref: Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ1 Camera. The cover plate over the LCD screen cracked (left side). So far, the LCD display itself is not affected. Is it possible to replace just the cover plate without having to install a new LCD unit? If so do you have a part number for the plate? I understand that cracking of the LCD screen is a recurring problem with the Lumix series of digital cameras and also that Panasonic has taken a hard line r.e. guarantee coverage. Panasonic Lumix DMC-LZ2 Image 'melts' into streaky vertical lines when camera is turned on. This problem started occuring immediately after I found my kids deliberately turning the camera off while jamming the lens cover open, so they could get the 'turn camera off and then on again' error message (yes, I know - they've been banned from touching it again). I confiscated the camera, turned it off and it sat unused for about 3 days. When it was next turned on, the image on the LCD screen was

A secondary problem I am having with the same camera is that I have to turn the ON/OFF switch on and off several times before the lens finally comes out.
