I am using an Olympus E-500. and am trying to use the built in flash, set to one eight or to one sixty fourth of normal output, to trigger an external flash unit. The camera is set to "Vivid", manual, auto focus, and iso 100. From the "manual flash" menu I should be able to select either full, 1/4. 1/16 or 1/64 of the output. Hi, I have just bought the Panasonic FZ45 and seem to have a problem with the flash. It will not pop up automatically when in "IA" mode. The display actually shows the symbol indicating that the flash is forced off. Have tried to change this using the REC set up menu but to no avail (incidentally the option to force the flash off appears in the user manual, but not on the REC menu). I have searched some of the forums on the web and it has been suggested that the FZ45 does not have an auto fla

A Canon A570IS will power on and and everything works with external power (3.5-3.7V, 2A. 3rd party) but is dead with batteries (two fresh alkaline or NIMH AAs). I have used parts (from junk 570s) and have replaced the main board, button board, flexicable that includes on/off switch & shutter, leds, etc.. Again, lens, flash, storage, LCD, etc. work with external power, but not with batteries. I am at a loss. Any suggestions?

When shooting indoors with my 300d (base rebel digital),I have been encountering some light metering problems.I use the 430ex as an external flash. While shooting a subject in front of an external light source-(window, etc.), no matter how small of the frame area include the outside light source, the cameras light meter will invaribly expose the entire image based on the outside ambient light, causing the image to be grossly underexposed. Do you have an explanation/solution for this aggrivating
