The ISO is set in the camera menu. You can't set the aperture and shutter manually...this is basically a point-and-shoot camera with some nice features. You should copy the disc to your computer and then open it from there by double-clicking on it.

On the Canon G3 I have issues with the main dial on the handgrip (used for aperture shutter speed and manual focus) while in Manual mode. it will change settings only some of the time! is this usually due to dust in the area and can it be cleaned or otherwise made operational?

External Flash I set my Epson 3100z camera to manual mode and set up the camera for external flash. I manually set the shutter speed to 1/60 sec and the aperture to F4. I also set my SunPak flash to F4. My exposures seem pretty good. However when I review the various photo info's, the aperture reading is F5 or F4.8 not the F4 I set. Why is this? Anyone experienced this? The shutter speed are also not always what I set on the camera.

Hi, I have a two year old Canon PowerShot SX1. Recently began to think my shutter speeds have been on the low side, based on ISO, aperture, and general lighting conditions outside. Went out and purchased a Canon PowerShot SX130 just to compare. Took about 25 shots with each, same subjects each time, same settings, same position, about 15 seconds apart. Discovered that, on average, the SX130's shutter speeds were over 3 times higher than the SX1 for proper exposures. For instance, at ISO 100

You may be right, from the details and data you've provided. Unfortunately, you would probably have to pay a service charge to prove it, and they would most likely replace the main board, and charge accordingly. I, myself, would just adjust to t ... Canon PowerShot SX1 IS Digital Camera

Exposure problem Hi,i'm using EOS 1dMK2 for 5 months now & i've noticed the same problem i've had using D60,1D wich is when i set the camera to top ISO speed & high speed continous shooting almost every second shot is underexposed for 1 stop, stangely this only happens indoor under tungsten or flourescent light.I've also tried to:set custom white ballance, shoot raw ,change lenses, set manual exposure & aperture. Has anyone else noticed this ? P.S. Parameters for both pictures are 1/250sec, f4 ,

I was taking pictures into bright sunlight switching between manual and automatic settings, and manual and automatic focus. First, the picutre would take, but the shutter would not open (viewfinder would remain closed) switching from manual to automatic focus fixed this issue. However now it seems that the aperture is stuck, and not enough light gets through to the viewfinder. How can I fix this?

Hi i am using a Nikon N75 to take pictures for my photo class, and the instructor wants us to take low light indoor phtotos at a shutter speed of 1/30 at f2.2. However, when i go to set these settings in manual mode the camera will not let me set my aperture to 2.2 it usually stops at 4 and there is no way i can make it 2.2. i didn't know if there is a limitation on the camera but it seems like i should be able to select what i want.

It's probably a limitation of your lens. You didn't say what lens you're using, but one of the common kit lenses sold with the N75 only goes to f/3.3 at best. If you had a lens that opens up more, the camera will let you use it.The differ ... Nikon Digital Cameras

I have fogotten my manual and I am away on hols so a step by step would be fantastic. also is there a way of keeping the settings stored so I dont have to remember them! Thanks in advance

My Sony Alpha 200 digital camera takes lovely pictures, but as I am a beginner and don't really know much about apertures and shutter speeds and how complex they are, I'm having great difficulty in getting it to focus properly in the manual setting. All other settings are fine, but the image in my viewfinder is very blurry when I look through before taking the shot. I have altered the diopter for my eyes as I wear glasses, so that isn't the problem. Is there something I'm either doing wrong, or

D60: I just got back from Certified Repair group where they said the camera is "okay". The Problem: It's like the ISO has shifted, and the readings on P, S, A, even M all result in a long exposure/wide open aperture reading. Frequently the reading is such that the shutter will not release, due to no focus or wrong light amount. Frequently the focus "peep" does not go off, and so the shutter will not release. Where do I go to get simple manual focus instructions for my fujifilm s1500? I am trying to work my way throughusing fstop and Iso and shutter speed, but I am not sure which numbers refer to what when I look at the three seperate bits of info at the bottom of the LCD screen. The numbers in the left side of the screen is shutterspeed and aperture number.\015\012125 means the shutterspeed is 1/125 sek.\015\012F is the aperturenumber. The higher F number, the smaller aperture opening, the higher depth-of-field. ... Fuji Digital Cameras

I have Rebel camera. The lowest f-stop I've been able to set it at, whether on AV or Manual, is 5.6. Do I need to adjust the ISO speed to be able to get larger aperture?

The maximum aperture is determined by the lens. At 55mm, the 18-55mm lens will not open up beyond f/5.6. This has nothing to do with the ISO or the camera's exposure mode. If you zoom out to 18mm, you can open up to f/3.5.\012\012\012The ... Canon EOS Digital Rebel XS / 1000D IS Digital Camera

I have a nikon d200. The last time I used it (only a few days ago) it was fine, everything normal. Then yesterday I pull out out of the case and everything seems to be going wrong. It is metering INSANELY low, like a shutter speed of 100 in full daylight produces a REALLY dark image. It won't auto focus at all, and i am unable to change the fstop in manual or aperture priority modes. I tried to restore it to factory settings and the lcd screen flashed to indicate it had been restored but no luck
